What I loved is how they’ve designed the place to frame those views from pretty much every angle. The terrace is where you’ll probably spend most of your time, and there’s something about having your morning coffee while looking out at mountains that makes you wonder why you live in the city at all.

The whole setup feels more like staying at a friend’s really well-designed country house than a typical hotel. The rooms have this minimalist thing going on, but it’s the kind of minimalism that actually feels warm, not cold – lots of natural wood and these huge windows that bring the outside in. What really impressed me was the attention to details that matter when you’re trying to unwind. The beds are seriously comfortable (and I’m picky about this), the water pressure is excellent, and they’ve got this sound system that lets you play music throughout the villa without it feeling intrusive. The kitchen is fully equipped too, which is perfect if you want to grab some fresh ingredients from the local market and cook with those mountain views as your backdrop.

The location is honestly the sweet spot for exploring this part of northern Vietnam. You’re close enough to Ba Vì National Park for serious hiking, but you can also just take gentle walks around the lake or explore the farming villages nearby. The roads getting there are actually pretty good – I was expecting typical rural Vietnam roads, but the drive from Hanoi is smooth and the directions are straightforward. Parking is never an issue, which anyone who’s driven in Vietnam will appreciate. The owners clearly know their stuff about hospitality too – check-in was seamless, and they’ve got all these thoughtful touches like local area recommendations and transportation tips that show they actually care about your experience beyond just booking the room.

That 9.6 rating isn’t inflated marketing nonsense – this place delivers on what it promises. It’s not trying to be a luxury resort or a backpacker crash pad, it’s just a really well-executed retreat that gives you space to breathe and remember why you travel in the first place. If you’re looking to escape Hanoi’s intensity without committing to a full countryside expedition, this is your spot.

  Het is een prachtige villa van mensen die het met liefde hebben gebouwd. Je hebt prachtig uitzicht en alle faciliteiten zijn aanwezig. Het zwembad was bij onze kinderen een groot succes. De eigenaren zijn heel vriendelijk en stellen diverse activiteiten voor.
