You know what caught me off guard about this place? I was expecting another cramped Old Quarter hotel where you bump into walls trying to open your suitcase, but the Hanoi Center Silk Premium actually has rooms with breathing space. The location on Chan Cam street is honestly perfect – you’re literally a three-minute walk from Hoan Kiem Lake, but tucked just far enough off the main drag that you’re not dealing with the constant honking and street food vendors until 2 AM.

The spa here is where they really shine, and I mean that. After spending days weaving through Hanoi’s motorbike chaos, their massage therapists actually know what they’re doing – not just going through the motions like some hotel spas. The lobby has this subtle silk theme (hence the name, I guess) that could’ve been cheesy but somehow works. Check-in was smooth, staff speaks solid English, and they’ve got that Vietnamese hospitality thing down where they’re genuinely helpful without being pushy. The rooftop area gives you decent lake glimpses if you crane your neck a bit, though honestly, you’ll probably spend more time wandering the streets below than hanging out up there.

What I really appreciated was the little stuff – good water pressure in the shower, blackout curtains that actually block light, and air conditioning that doesn’t sound like a freight train. The breakfast spread is pretty solid too, mix of Western and Vietnamese options, though skip the coffee there and just walk two blocks to one of the local ca phe sua da spots for the real deal. Location-wise, you’re right in the sweet spot where you can stumble back from the night market or a late dinner in the French Quarter without needing to navigate taxi drivers who suddenly “forget” how to find your hotel. That 9.4 rating makes sense once you’ve stayed there – it’s not trying to be the fanciest place in Hanoi, but it nails the basics while adding enough touches to make it feel special rather than just functional.

  Henry and the other staff were very friendly and welcoming, he offered us tea and ensured we felt comfortable. This hotel is in the perfect location , close to delicious coffee spots but also quiet and calm. The hotel is clean, comfortable and a perfect place to stay in the old quarter. I would reccomend.

  Location is excellent, it's near to famous Michellin restaurants such as chicken pho Nguyet restaurant, beef pho Ly Quoc Su restaurant. Staff in the hotel are friendly and quickly reply you via whatsapp when you have any questions. I really love this place and this area. I will come back to stay next time. Thank you for your good customer service. I will recommend my workmates to this place if they want to visit in Hanoi 🙂

  The property had a great location in the old quarter, not far from tourist attractions, with everything you could want to eat or drink close by.
  We checked out and went Halon Bay in in the middle of our stay in Hanoi, staff took care of our luggage in a secure location
