Hanoi Fiesta Hotel & Spa Overview

You know what caught me off guard about the Hanoi Fiesta Hotel & Spa? It’s tucked away on Hang Muoi street, which honestly feels like stepping into a different world once you get off the main drag around Hoan Kiem Lake. I mean, you’re literally a three-minute walk from all the chaos of the Old Quarter, but somehow this little pocket feels… quieter. Not silent – this is still Hanoi after all – but you can actually have a conversation without shouting over motorbikes at 6 AM.

The building itself has this sort of boutique vibe that works really well for the neighborhood. It’s not trying to be some massive international chain, which I actually appreciate. The lobby smells faintly of lemongrass (spa influence, I’m guessing), and check-in was refreshingly straightforward – none of that “let me tell you about seventeen amenities you didn’t ask about” routine. The rooms are what you’d expect from a solid 4-star in this part of town, though I’ll be honest, the walls aren’t exactly soundproof. You’ll hear some street noise, but honestly? That’s part of the Hanoi experience. The AC works well, which matters more than you might think during those sticky summer months.

What really makes this place work is the location knowledge the staff has. They actually know the neighborhood – like, they’ll tell you that the best pho place is two blocks down toward Hang Bac street, not the touristy spot everyone gets steered toward. And the spa part isn’t just marketing fluff; they do decent traditional Vietnamese massage, though I’d book ahead because locals use it too. The breakfast spread is pretty solid for Vietnam – proper Vietnamese coffee, fresh fruit that’s actually fresh, and they don’t skimp on the banh mi options. One thing to note: if you’re planning to explore the night markets around Dong Xuan, you’re in perfect position, but if you’re more interested in the French Quarter area, you’ll be doing a bit more walking. Not a deal-breaker, just something to consider depending on what you’re after. The 8.9 rating feels about right – it’s not going to blow your mind, but it delivers exactly what it promises without any unpleasant surprises.

Reviews of Hanoi Fiesta Hotel & Spa

  • Kelvin from Singapore – 8 April 2025 (9/10)

The most memorable thing about this hotel was how the front desk staff made us feel welcome during our short stay here in Vietnam. Some of them are enthusiastic to practice their English with you, and some of them are diligent to make our stay here as comfortable as possible. It is my first time staying in a boutique hotel, and the experience is wonderful. It is hard to describe what makes this hotel special, but take the time to see and feel the hearts of these people. They want you to have a good vacation here in Hanoi.

The photo is the rooftop view during breakfast.

  • Céline_beemo from France – 25 August 2024 (9/10)

    Everything was perfect.

  • Bea from United Arab Emirates – 11 August 2024 (9/10)

Staff were amazing, very attentive and friendly! It is very easy to communicate as all of them speaks English very well. Rooms are very comfortable, spacious and clean. The housekeepers arranges and tidies up the room daily. Location wise, it is inside old quarter but in a quiet street. Everything is walking distance like beer street, hoan kiem lake, etc. Would definitely stay here again 😊

  • Rae from United Kingdom – 30 July 2024 (9/10)

The staff were wonderful. Especially Celina she helped me and mum out. The staff were so attentive and happy to help. Always greeted us with a smile even when they were busy.

The rooms were cleaned every day. The only thing I would say is that they do need a bit of a vacuum. The floors were pretty dusty. However they were a great size. I found that the beds were comfortable and the amenities provided were helpful.

It was great to have breakfast there everyday, however some more vegetarian options could be provided but you won't go hungry if you are vegetarian. They also provide small bowls of Pho if you didn't want a big bowl that day.

The location is fantastic. Really close to everything you could want to do in the Old Quarter.

I would happily return in a heartbeat.

What could be improved: This is not the hotel's fault but the hotel and the area are quite noisy. You can hear everything happening inside and outside the hotel. There are some ear plugs provided but if you're a light sleeper bring some ear plugs.

Also there isn't really a Spa inside the hotel. You can get a massage inside your room, however if you want another service you have to go out to a spa that is affiliate with the hotel. The staff there will help you book the treatment though.

  • Hamed from Oman – 21 June 2024 (9/10)

The hotel is located near by almost everything in old quarter, loved how the room was very clean and comfortable to stay in & thanks to all lovely staff who were helpful anytime I needed anything, as well as they do provide activities with reasonable prices. Definitely recommended.

  • Mathias from Germany – 3 June 2024 (9/10)

We got an incredible deal, and if we would rate Hanoi Fiesta based on what we paid, it would easily get 30 out of 10 points. However, we believe even at full price, this is a nice hotel.
The king-size bed was huge and so comfortable, with 4 wonderful pillows. Actually, this might have been the most comfortable bed we've ever slept in. The room had plenty of space and was immaculately cleaned. It had a nice bathroom, a huge TV, nice lighting, and everything one could wish for.
The staff was so welcoming, friendly, and helpful, and spoke good English.
The breakfast buffet has some Vietnamese and Western options, and we also liked the view from the 8th floor.
The hotel is located just on the edge of the Old Quarter, which worked very well for us.
We travel low budget cycling around the world, and this was by far the most luxurious accommodation we've had in all of two years. We paid so much less than what we got.

What could be improved: As we paid only about a third of what would probably be a normal rate we wouldn't dare to complain. However, if we would pay the full price, there is still room for improvement here and there, although on a high level.
The fridge in the room could be a lot cooler (or stay on when one leaves the room).
In the breakfast rooftop restaurant it can get quite warm on hot and sunny mornings.

  • Deanna from United Kingdom – 25 May 2024 (9/10)

Very nice hotel, our room was a great size, extremely clean and nicely decorated. Very comfortable bed, nice bathroom and hot water! We booked a sleeper bus from another location that unfortunately meant we had to check in at 4am, but the reception staff were very kind and helpful when we checked in at this time. On check out they helped arrange a taxi to the airport!

What could be improved: Nothing we didn't like! wish we could have stayed longer!

  • Lucas from Vietnam – 14 May 2024 (9/10)

The staff was very receptive and willing to help. The girl called Celine in the restaurant speaks English clearly and was helpful taking care of us by asking what we needed and bringing what we requested. I assume her major is in hospitality because we also work for hotels and she was doing more than what expected.

What could be improved: There is nothing wrong I could notice in the 2 days my friends and I stayed in.

  • Elena from Australia – 5 March 2024 (9/10)

You can expect a comfortable stay with the attentive staff here. From the welcoming reception to the helpful breakfast team, everyone is friendly and accommodating. We were pleasantly surprised with a room upgrade, and the bathroom was modern with a good shower.
Breakfast is a delightful mix of Vietnamese specialties, toast, fresh fruit, and eggs made just how you like them.

What could be improved: The area can get a bit noisy with traffic, but with our earplugs on hand, we had no problem with it.

  • Lingfang from Singapore – 4 March 2024 (9/10)

Great service from the friendly staff!
