It’s tucked away in this residential area of Định Công that honestly feels more like where actual Hanoians live rather than the tourist bubble you get stuck in around the Old Quarter. I mean, when you first pull up to the address on Hoàng Liệt street, you’re surrounded by local coffee shops where people are sitting on those tiny plastic stools at 6 AM, and there’s this authentic energy that you just don’t get in the more obvious hotel districts.

The hotel itself is one of those sleek four-star places that clearly opened recently – everything still has that fresh, well-maintained feel without being sterile. What really struck me was how the staff seemed to actually know the neighborhood inside and out. When I asked about getting to the city center, they didn’t just hand me a tourist map; they walked me through which bus routes the locals use (the 03 bus is your friend here) and mentioned that Grab rides are usually about 60,000 VND to Hoan Kiem Lake, depending on traffic. The rooms are solid – good air conditioning, which you’ll definitely appreciate during Hanoi’s brutal summer months, and surprisingly quiet considering you’re in a developing urban area. I was worried about construction noise, but the double-glazed windows actually work.

Here’s the thing that makes this place special, though: you’re staying in real Hanoi, not tourist Hanoi. There’s a wet market about a five-minute walk away where you can grab fresh fruit for like 20,000 VND, and I discovered this incredible bánh mì spot (literally just a woman with a cart) right at the corner of the residential complex. The hotel’s in this newer development area, so the streets are wider and less chaotic than the Old Quarter – you can actually walk around in the evening without dodging motorbikes every three seconds. That 9.2 rating makes total sense once you realize what you’re getting: proper hotel amenities and service, but in a location where you’re experiencing how the city actually functions rather than just seeing the postcard version. It’s maybe a 15-20 minute ride to the main tourist stuff, but honestly, staying here gave me a completely different perspective on Hanoi that I wouldn’t have gotten otherwise.

  The staff is amazing; they are incredibly friendly and helpful, and I'd like to thank them a lot. Not all of them are proficient in English but this turned out to be no problem at all with the help of a translation tool. They're incredibly kind and will help at any time of day. There is no daily cleaning routine but you can ask them for anything and they will help right away.
  
  The room is clean and looks exactly like the pictures. The bed is also comfortable. There is Wifi in the room and the lobby, which is generally OK but did drop for a split second at times. They also have some parking space in front.
  
  The location is very nice too, it's a calm neighberhood with lots of nature around. The area is not touristy at all, which was a nice experience. it's opposite a little park and pool, a very cute cafe is on the corner of the street, a bit further you have shops, stalls, lots of streetfood and fruit venders, banks and ATMs (as the hotel did not accept card). It's also not all too far from 'Vincom Mega Mall Royal City' which is a large mall with lots of food and shopping options.
  I will definitely consider coming here again!
  
  What could be improved: The standard room didn't come with a lot of storage space (1 small wardrobe), so if you're staying for a longer time or staying with multiple people, be aware the storage space is limited.
  If you're looking to explore Hanoi old quarter, be aware it's a bit of a drive, but this is easily overcome with a taxi/Grab ride, which is quite cheap.
