Hanoi Le Jardin Hotel & Spa Overview

You know what’s funny about Hanoi Le Jardin? The name makes it sound like some fancy French colonial throwback, but honestly – it’s actually way more relaxed than that. I mean, sure, there’s definitely some elegant touches going on, but when you walk into the lobby, it feels more like stepping into someone’s really well-appointed home rather than a stuffy hotel. The spa part isn’t just marketing fluff either; they’ve got this whole wellness thing woven throughout the property that actually works.

The location on Nguyen Truong To is pretty brilliant if you know Ba Dinh at all. You’re close enough to the main action – the Presidential Palace and Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum are basically around the corner – but you’re not dealing with the absolute chaos of the Old Quarter. I stayed there during Tet season once (probably not my smartest planning move), and while the city was going absolutely mad with celebrations, this little pocket stayed surprisingly peaceful. The street itself has this tree-lined thing going on that makes morning coffee on your balcony feel sort of… I don’t know, civilized? Plus there’s this fantastic pho place two blocks down that the hotel staff actually recommended – none of that tourist trap nonsense.

What really got me was the attention to small stuff. The rooms have these gorgeous hardwood floors that don’t creak when you’re trying to sneak in late, and the beds are firm enough that you don’t feel like you’re sinking into quicksand (honestly, half the hotels in Vietnam seem to think Western tourists want to sleep on marshmallows). The spa treatments are legit too – they use local techniques but the facilities are spotless and modern. I was skeptical about the whole “spa hotel” concept, but after a day walking around Hanoi’s summer heat, that eucalyptus steam room became my best friend. The breakfast spread leans Vietnamese with some international options thrown in, and they actually know how to make coffee that doesn’t taste like it came from a vending machine. Check-in was smooth even though my flight got delayed and I showed up at some ungodly hour – the night staff seemed genuinely happy to see me rather than annoyed. That 9.2 rating makes total sense when you add up all these little things that just… work.

Fantastic staff, fantastic location, fantastic breakfast, only downside is we couldn't stay longer.

  • Ron from South Africa – 17 May 2025 (9/10)

We received a free room upgrade, thank you!
The room was very spacious and comfortable. The staff is extremely friendly and always willing to assist with whatever you need. The breakfast was very enjoyable, with a wide range of breakfast options. I would definitely stay at this hotel on my next visit to Hanoi💚💚💚

What could be improved: The gym did not have towels or drinking water to use during your exercise sessions.

  • Rebecca from Australia – 10 May 2025 (9/10)

Nice and clean, comfy bed, great stay

What could be improved: Balcony would have been nice but was great nonetheless

  • Louis from Vietnam – 7 May 2025 (9/10)

Very nice hotel, perfect location and very helpful staff. The rooms are large, clean, nicely furnished.

    What could be improved: Nothing

  • Marco from Italy – 6 May 2025 (9/10)

  • Marco from Italy – 6 May 2025 (9/10)

Excellent location, the hotel offer a warm and friendly environment. Very clean with all amenities. The staff is very cordial and always available for support. Claire was extraordinary.

  • Alice from United States – 6 May 2025 (9/10)

Comfortable beds, helpful staff, nice breakfast

What could be improved: On a busy street but everywhere in Hanoi is busy!

  • Wong from Canada – 5 May 2025 (9/10)

Location, cleanliness, breakfast option was ok

What could be improved: Shower head was too short and water splashed outside of tub onto floor

  • Philip from United Kingdom – 3 May 2025 (9/10)

This was the third time staying here in a week. On this occasion we used the swimming pool which was small and had only 5/6 sun beds. This is fine as it appeared nobody really used them.
The hotel was clean, tidy with great amenities.
The location is outside the busy part of what people understand to be downtown Hanoi. So, a lot quieter and less sound of horns.
The coffee shop on site is an absolute delight which serves top quality coffee.

  • Samandeep from United Kingdom – 27 April 2025 (9/10)

The property was modern, clean and the amenities were very good.

The staff were amazing and extremely helpful. Let us keep our bags for the day and let us use their showers after check out and before our flight.

What could be improved: The shower hose in the bathroom is positionally awkward, and the pressure could be stronger.

Naturally the lower levels are noisier than the higher levels, this was only a problem around 8am during morning commute, otherwise no problem. We were on level 4 one night and then level 8 the next, this made a difference.
