I mean, staying right in the heart of Hoan Kiem District sounds intense, but honestly, this place gets the balance right.

The thing about this hotel is it feels like someone put real thought into what travelers actually need. The lobby has this warm, wood-heavy vibe that immediately tells you you’re somewhere with character – not one of those sterile chain places that could be anywhere in the world. And the staff? They genuinely seem to know the neighborhood, which matters more than you’d think when you’re trying to figure out where to grab decent pho at 7 AM or which streets to avoid during rush hour (spoiler: avoid them all if you can). The rooms are what you’d expect from a solid four-star – clean, comfortable beds, decent Wi-Fi that actually works when you need to upload photos. The bathrooms are surprisingly spacious for Hanoi standards, and there’s something satisfying about having a proper shower after a day of dodging motorbikes and exploring temples.

What really sells this place for me is the location specifics that only become clear after you’ve stayed a few nights. You’re literally a ten-minute walk from Hoan Kiem Lake – and I mean a pleasant walk, not a death-defying sprint across six lanes of traffic. The weekend night market is close enough that you’ll hear the energy but far enough that you won’t be kept awake by karaoke until 2 AM. Plus, and this is key, you’re positioned perfectly for those early morning walks when the city’s still waking up and the street food vendors are just setting up their tiny plastic stools. There’s this little coffee spot about two blocks away where locals actually drink their morning ca phe sua da – you’ll find it because you’ll smell the robusta beans and hear the metal filters dripping. The hotel’s 8.7 rating makes sense when you factor in these kinds of details. It’s not trying to be the fanciest place in Hanoi, but it understands what makes a stay memorable. The front desk folks speak solid English and actually give useful directions (not just “turn left, turn right” but real guidance like “walk until you see the red lanterns, then look for the alley with all the plants”). Check-in was smooth, even arriving at that awkward 1 PM time when most places make you wait around. One small thing – the elevator can be a bit slow during busy periods, but honestly, that’s pretty standard for hotels in this area, and the stairs aren’t terrible if you’re not hauling massive luggage.

  Great breakfast, big choice between international and typical Vietnam dishes.
  The staff is great and very helpful. They assist us with storage luggage to let us travel around Vietnam with just our backpack which was really appreciate.
  They also provide a taxi for the airport: we have taken it both when we arrived and then when we left. The car is really spacious, clean and in perfect timing.
  
  What could be improved: Room could be better with a window and a little bit more attention to cleaning, but was not dirty at all.
  Position is 10-20 minute walk to Hanoi old quarter and area narrow the hotel doesn't have much to offer so you have to walk or take a taxi.

  Breakfast was fantastic, TV in the room had Netflix and the hotel was very clean and tidy.
  
  What could be improved: The location was quite difficult. It’s about a mile walk to get to a pedestrian bridge to cross the motorway and get into Hanoi.

  Bad location, room was dirty, there was a bandaid in the shower and hair everywhere. Rooms nothing special and bed was really uncomfortable unless you like hard beds.

  Extended my stay 1 more day in Hanoi and found this place at the last minute. The room is new and in great condition. Staff are friendly and helpful. Definitely will come back for my summer holiday in the next few months 👍👍
