Hanoi Siva Luxury Hotel & Travel Overview
Look, I’ll be honest – I walked past Hanoi Siva a dozen times before actually staying there, and I wish I’d booked it sooner. It’s tucked right on Hang Ga street in the heart of Hoan Kiem, which means you’re literally a three-minute walk from the lake and all that Old Quarter chaos, but somehow the hotel itself feels like this calm pocket where you can actually breathe. The building has that French colonial thing going on (you know how Hanoi does), but they’ve updated it without making it feel sterile or chain-hotel generic. When you walk in, there’s this immediate sense that someone actually thought about the design – dark wood, soft lighting, and honestly, the lobby smells like lemongrass instead of that weird hotel air freshener most places use.
What really got me was how the staff seemed to know the neighborhood inside and out. I mean, sure, they’ll tell you about Hoan Kiem Lake and the Night Market, but they also pointed me toward this tiny pho place down an alley I never would’ve found – turns out it’s where half the locals eat breakfast. The rooms are solid too, actually spacious by Old Quarter standards, and the beds are proper comfortable (not always a given in Vietnam, let’s be real). The bathrooms have decent water pressure, which… well, if you’ve traveled around Southeast Asia, you know that’s not nothing. I stayed on the fourth floor and could hear the street life below, but it wasn’t that jarring motorbike symphony that keeps you up all night – more like the gentle hum of a city that’s alive but not screaming at you.
Here’s the thing that really sold me on this place – it strikes that perfect balance between being in the thick of things and giving you space to decompress. You can walk to basically everything worth seeing in the Old Quarter, hit up the weekend night market, or catch a taxi to the French Quarter in about ten minutes. But when you come back after a day of dodging scooters and haggling in Dong Xuan Market, the hotel lobby feels like stepping into your friend’s really well-designed living room. The restaurant downstairs does surprisingly good Vietnamese coffee (and I’m picky about this), plus they’ll arrange day trips or train tickets without that pushy travel agent vibe. I stayed there during Tet season when Hanoi gets absolutely packed, and while the streets were insane, the hotel stayed calm and organized. At that 8.9 rating, honestly, I get it – it’s not trying to be the fanciest place in the city, but it nails everything that actually matters when you’re exploring Hanoi.

Linzi from United Kingdom – 30 May 2025 (9/10)
The staff and the room was lovely, great location. Only downside was the bathroom had a very strong damp smell and when using the shower water went everywhere. We also had a car organised by the hotel to pick us up from the airport and they never showed up which was very inconvenient
What could be improved: The smell in the bathroom was a very strong damp smell
The fact that the hotel arranged to pick us up from the airport and never showed up with no explanation at allTuan from Vietnam – 29 May 2025 (9/10)

The place itself was very good, the staff were nice and really tried to answer everything.
The 24/7 reception is the best – we came back around 02:00 and someone answered our questions.
Recommend the place for couples, friends (there are separated beds). Was great (:Akane from New Zealand – 19 May 2025 (9/10)
Highly recommend staying here!
The location is fantastic. There were lots of cars and motorbikes running on the street but it was quiet enough from our room that it didn't bother us at all.
The staff were very friendly and attentive.
We stayed in superior double room; it was very spacious and clean, the beds were very comfortable, and the bathroom was very clean (very important!)
Would definitely stay here again.
