Vietnamese architecture does this thing where buildings are deceptively spacious once you get past the street-facing facade, and this place nails it.

Now about those amenities they’re bragging about in the name – the projector setup is actually pretty clever. Instead of cramming a tiny TV in the corner, they’ve got this whole wall projection thing going on, which honestly makes the room feel bigger and more like a proper home setup. Perfect for those rainy Hanoi afternoons when you just want to decompress with Netflix. And that bathtub? Well, it’s not some Instagram-worthy marble situation, but it’s deep enough for a proper soak, which is rare in this part of town where most places barely have standing showers. The water pressure’s solid too – apparently they’ve got their own pump system, because I’ve stayed in fancier places nearby where the water barely trickles out.

The staff here actually seem to know the neighborhood, not just the standard tourist script. When I asked about good phở that wasn’t overrun with backpackers, they pointed me toward this tiny place on Hàng Chiếu that I never would’ve found otherwise. Small thing, but it matters when you’re trying to eat like a human being instead of a walking wallet. Check-in was surprisingly smooth – they had my room ready early and didn’t make a big production about it. The whole vibe is more like staying at a friend’s well-organized apartment than a hotel, if that makes sense.

I will say the stairs are narrow and steep (typical for this area), so if you’re hauling massive luggage, prepare for a workout. And while the street is quieter than the main drags, you’re still in central Hanoi, so don’t expect complete silence – though honestly, the gentle hum of city life is part of the charm. The 8.4 rating feels about right to me. It’s not trying to be luxury, but everything works well, it’s thoughtfully set up, and the location gives you easy access to both the tourist stuff and the real Hanoi. For the price point and what you get, especially in this neighborhood, it’s a solid choice.

  Emplacement parfait, en plein cœur de la ville, à quelques minutes du lac Hoan Kiem et des principaux points touristiques. L’appartement est bien équipé et dispose de tout le nécessaire pour un séjour confortable. Petit bémol : nous ne nous attendions pas à un logement sans fenêtre, et il y avait pas mal de mouches mortes au sol à notre arrivée. Des draps pour le canapé auraient aussi été appréciés. Cela n’a pas gâché notre séjour pour autant. Les propriétaires sont très disponibles et de bon conseil. Merci encore à eux !
