La Selva Premium Hotel Overview
You know what struck me first about La Selva Premium Hotel? The location is absolutely perfect, but not in that generic “convenient location” way everyone talks about. I mean, you’re literally on Cầu Gỗ Street in the heart of Hoan Kiem – which honestly feels like cheating because you can walk to Hoan Kiem Lake in about three minutes, and the Old Quarter’s maze of street food and shops is right there. The thing is, this little street is just quiet enough that you’re not dealing with the constant honking that hits some of the main drags, but you’re still in the thick of everything that makes Hanoi incredible.
The hotel itself feels like someone actually thought about what travelers need instead of just cramming in fancy stuff nobody uses. The rooms are well-designed without being sterile – there’s this warm wood thing going on that works really well, and honestly, the beds are fantastic (which matters more than people admit when you’re dealing with jet lag or long days exploring). What I really appreciated was the attention to details that matter: the shower pressure is solid, the AC actually works quietly, and there’s enough space to spread out your stuff without living out of a suitcase. The staff genuinely knows the neighborhood too – not just the tourist spots but where to grab the best bún chả or which temple is worth the walk versus the ones that are just okay.
Here’s the thing about staying in this part of Hanoi though – mornings are magical because you can grab coffee and watch the city wake up around the lake, but evenings get lively (in a good way, mostly). La Selva manages to buffer you from the chaos just enough while keeping you connected to why you came to Vietnam in the first place. The 9.3 rating makes sense when you stay there – it’s not trying to be the fanciest place in the city, but everything works the way it should, the location is genuinely excellent, and you end up recommending it to people because it just… gets it right. Plus, let’s be real, four-star comfort in that location without breaking the bank? That’s the sweet spot for exploring Hanoi properly.

Reviews of La Selva Premium Hotel
Gautam from India – 6 June 2025 (10/10)
All staff members are very cordial, helpful and informative. They have helped us airport pickup and drop, making plans for sightseeing and finding the shops we required. They even took the necessary care to keep our luggage for one day since we have booking again in his hotel from 2nd to 4th June.
What could be improved: The brekfast should have more variety for spreads and fruits. There should have been a identify tag to all the food items.Ruth from Israel – 13 May 2025 (10/10)

I recently had the pleasure of staying at La Selva Premium Hotel, and it was a fantastic experience! The location couldn’t be better, conveniently situated in the old quarter, making it easy to explore the area. The staff were absolutely amazing. Jackie, Jack, and Clover were always friendly, attentive, their English was outstanding, and they were eager to assist with any questions or requests we had. They truly made us feel welcome and ensured our stay was comfortable. The rooms were clean and well-maintained, providing a cozy place to relax after a day of sightseeing. Jackie organised a jeep tour and a Ha Long bay trip for us just prior to arriving in Ha Noi.

Great location. Walking distance to train street and beer street. There are also many good restaurants and local eating places within walking distance. The hotel was clean and the staff, especially Jackie went above and beyond to help up on the morning we were checking out and moving location. Couldn’t rate them highly enough. I would stay here again if I return to Hanoi.
Anisha from United Kingdom – 4 May 2025 (9/10)
We also got an executive suite which had a large comfortable bed and large window overlooking the street.
Breakfast was buffet style with hot and cold Vietnamese/western/continental food options. You could also order additional items such as eggs, pancakes, pho, sandwiches. Overall I’d say the options and quality was pretty good.
Staff were always very nice and greeted you. We got a welcome drink on arrival. If we needed anything they would always be quick to help. At the end they asked for feedback on how they could improve.
Would recommend to stay here if you want a good quality room in the Hanoi centre and don’t mind paying more.Anisha from United Kingdom – 4 May 2025 (9/10)
We got a double room with no window which was good, we did have a small internal window. Bed was really big and comfortable. Bathroom was also big and had hot water.

What could be improved: Our room smelt a little bit of drains when we walked in but the staff said they would look into it when we mentioned.Ines from United Kingdom – 3 May 2025 (10/10)
