What really gets me about this homestay is how the host family – I’m assuming that’s the Giang Văn Minh connection – manages to make the space feel both private and welcoming. The rooms are clean and comfortable (that 9.2 rating isn’t just for show), and you get little touches that hotels miss, like extra blankets that actually keep you warm during Hanoi’s surprisingly chilly winter evenings, or advice about which xe om driver won’t overcharge you. The building itself has that slightly worn charm of old Hanoi architecture – nothing fancy, but solid and real. You’ll probably share some common areas, which sounds awkward but honestly becomes the highlight when you’re chatting with other travelers over morning coffee or trying to figure out how to get to Sapa without getting scammed.

The neighborhood comes alive around 6 AM with the gentle chaos of daily life – vendors calling out, kids heading to school, the rhythmic chop-chop of someone preparing herbs for phở. It’s not the sanitized version of Vietnam you get in fancy hotels; it’s the real deal, complete with the occasional power outage (though they’re pretty rare these days) and the complex dance of parking motorbikes in impossibly small spaces. If you’re looking for a pool and room service, this isn’t your spot. But if you want to understand why people fall in love with Hanoi – the way the city reveals itself slowly, through small moments and quiet conversations – then stumbling down that little alley to number 3 might just be the best decision you make on your trip.

  Cô chủ nhà rất tốt bụng , 2h mới nhận phòng nhưng 12 h mình đến đã có thể đc vào rồi
  Phòng khá đẹp, thoải mái và thoáng , decor phòng khá ổn so với giá tiền

  Big apartment with all facilities one could need. Just to mention some: you get a kitchen with cooking equipment and a rice cooker included, a washing machine with detergent and a dryer, big adjustable flatscreen TV – all in all something I’ve never seen before in that price category.
  Everything is clean and the host is an incredibly kind and welcoming lady.
  It is somewhat outside of the centre but still not too far, which makes it in my opinion a great location since it is much quieter than other apartments and you get really good sleep. I’m really looking forward to staying here again the next time!

  The owner is so friendly, she will try to help you with all your doubts and also the place is amazing, all the electronics devices are new, is a cleaning place and also has a small electric stove to cook if you want, has iron, dryer, ac, washing machine and refrigerator too. Is so worth it for the price I really recommend to come this place and is very central to walk around the city. The city is safe to walk so you can feel conform to come to this place
