There’s this fantastic local market about a ten-minute walk away where you can grab genuine street food (the bánh mì lady there is legendary among locals), and you’re close enough to the university area that the whole neighborhood has this energetic but not overwhelming vibe. The hotel sits in this sweet spot where you can easily grab a taxi or motorbike to the main attractions, but you’re also within walking distance of parks and genuine neighborhood restaurants. Parking isn’t a nightmare either, which is honestly half the battle in this city. The 8.7 rating makes total sense to me – it’s not trying to be the fanciest place in town, but it delivers on the stuff that actually matters when you’re exploring a city like Hanoi. The staff clearly takes pride in the place, and it shows in ways that matter more than fancy marble lobbies.
