You know what caught me off guard about iRest Orange? The moment you step onto that little balcony, you’re hit with this incredible view of West Lake that honestly makes you forget you’re in the middle of one of Asia’s busiest cities. I mean, Tay Ho can get pretty hectic during the day, but there’s something about watching the morning mist roll off the water that just… works.

The apartment itself is way more spacious than what you’d expect from most Hanoi accommodations – and I’ve stayed in my fair share of cramped hotel rooms here. The kitchen actually functions (rare for serviced apartments), which is perfect because you’re literally a five-minute walk from the weekend night market on Xuan Dieu Street. The locals there don’t speak much English, but they’ve got the best bánh mì in the district, and honestly, being able to grab fresh ingredients and cook at home beats hotel breakfast every time. The Wi-Fi is solid too – I worked remotely for a week without any issues, though the construction noise from the new development across Vũ Miên Street kicks in around 7 AM sharp. Not terrible, but worth mentioning if you’re planning to sleep in.

What really sets this place apart is how it sits right in that sweet spot between tourist convenience and local authenticity. You’re close enough to the Old Quarter (about 15 minutes by taxi, longer if you hit traffic near Long Bien Bridge), but you’re also in the heart of expat central where you can actually have a conversation in English at the coffee shops. The building itself is pretty new – you can tell by the elevator that actually works and the lobby that doesn’t smell like cigarettes. Check-in was smooth, though the front desk staff gets a bit overwhelmed during peak season around Tet. There’s underground parking if you’re brave enough to rent a motorbike, but honestly, walking around Tay Ho is half the fun. The lakeside promenade gets packed on weekends with families and street food vendors, but early mornings are absolutely peaceful. That 9.3 rating makes sense once you factor in the view, the space, and the fact that you’re getting genuine value in a city where good accommodations can be hit or miss. It’s not luxury by international standards, but it’s exactly what you want when you’re trying to experience Hanoi like someone who actually lives here.

  We loved the spacious apartment just for the two of us. It’s located near the West Lake and a little far away from the hustling old town which we enjoyed, however others might find it a bit too far so that’s something to keep in mind. All the amenities are new and functioning well. We had a great time and wish we would come back again!

  We spent 4 days in the apartment and would definitely recommend it to anyone who seeks a quiet place away from the hustle and bustle of the the city centre.
  It’s spacious, very clean and has all the amenities you need for a comfortable stay. The people at reception were very kind and helpful.
  The only downside for some people maybe that it is far from the Old quarter. However, a 15-minute ride with Grab will take you there.

  Love this place. This was my second time staying here as I used it as my base when I went to Ha Long Bay and was able to leave some luggage there and returned to Hanoi to stay another night at iRest Orange. Very friendly staff and amazingly beautiful rooms with a modern design. One of my favorite features is the free washer and real dryer to do laundry. Location is also great, located along the lake on a little inlet island and it’s super quiet day and night. Unlike the Old Quarter or French Quarter which can be very noisy and crowded. There’s also a little vegan restaurant about a 2 min walk from iRest with delicious healthy food called An Chay.
  
  What could be improved: Everything about it was great. If I had to say one thing that I didn’t like was that I wish I would have stayed longer.
