What struck me first was how quiet it gets once you’re inside, which is honestly miraculous considering you’re still in the heart of the Old Quarter. I mean, step outside and you’ve got motorbikes buzzing past every few seconds and street vendors calling out, but the building itself feels like this little sanctuary. The apartment-style rooms are what really sold me – they’ve got proper kitchenettes with actual counter space, not those sad mini-fridges most hotels stick you with. Perfect if you want to grab some of those amazing Vietnamese coffee beans from the market down the street and make your own morning brew. The beds are surprisingly comfortable too, though I’ll admit the pillows took some getting used to (they’re firmer than what you’d expect from a 4-star place).

Here’s what I really appreciated: the staff actually knows the neighborhood. When I asked about finding good bún chả that wasn’t touristy, the guy at the front desk drew me a little map to this place about eight minutes away where locals actually eat. And parking – if you’re crazy enough to rent a motorbike in Hanoi traffic – there’s space, though it fills up pretty quickly in the evenings. The whole area comes alive around dinner time, with families sitting on those tiny plastic stools right outside their doors, and you get this amazing smell of street food mixing with incense from the little shrines tucked between buildings. One thing though – if you’re a super light sleeper, maybe pack earplugs. It’s much quieter than being on the main drags, but you’ll still hear the occasional late-night motorbike or early morning street sweeper. The Wi-Fi is solid, which matters if you’re trying to navigate those maze-like streets with Google Maps, and check-in was refreshingly straightforward – no endless forms or upselling, just here’s your key and here’s how the AC works. For the price point and location, it’s honestly hard to beat if you want to feel like you’re actually staying in Hanoi rather than some generic hotel bubble.

  We liked the location – near the train station and quite central in Hanoi, but not in the busy Old Quarter, from which we needed a break. The room was bigger than the average you get in the Old quarter too. The staff was super friendly. Next to the hotel there was also an excellent vegetarian buffet with a great price.

  The property is close to the train station and various nice restaurants and cafés, but it’s located in a hidden street away from the noises of the city. The interior is stylish and modern. The hotel also has a rooftop café offering delicious drinks and a cozy environment. The staff was very friendly, they helped us with purchasing train tickets and stored our luggage for a few days while we visited Sapa.

  The 2 bedroom apartment was perfect for us (family of 3). The rooftop cafe is really good too. You get free coffee and fresh juice.
