Little Hanoi Deluxe Hotel Overview
First Impressions
Walking into Little Hanoi Deluxe Hotel feels like discovering a well-kept secret in the middle of all the Old Quarter chaos. I mean, you’re literally steps away from Hoan Kiem Lake, but somehow this three-star gem manages to feel like a peaceful retreat. The lobby isn’t huge or flashy — it’s just thoughtfully designed with Vietnamese touches that don’t feel forced or touristy. You know what struck me most? How the staff actually remembered my name after the first day, which honestly doesn’t happen much in Hanoi hotels at this price point.
Location & Getting Around
Here’s the thing about staying on Yen Thai Street — you’re in the absolute heart of everything without being on one of those impossibly narrow, motorbike-crazy streets that keep you up all night. I could walk to Hoan Kiem Lake in about two minutes, and all those little coffee shops and street food stalls on Hang Manh Street are right there. The couples who stay here definitely get it — there’s something romantic about being able to stroll to the lake for sunrise without fighting through tourist crowds. Plus, you’re close enough to the weekend night market that you can pop back to drop off purchases, which is actually pretty convenient.
The Room Experience
I’ll be honest — I wasn’t expecting much from the beds, but they really did nail the comfort factor here. The room itself was compact (this is Vietnam, after all), but everything felt intentional rather than cramped. The air conditioning actually worked properly, which you can’t take for granted in older Hanoi buildings, and the bathroom had decent water pressure. What I appreciated most was the attention to details — good blackout curtains, enough outlets near the bed, and a small desk area that actually functioned if you needed to get some work done.
Breakfast & Dining
The breakfast spread surprised me in the best way. They’ve got the usual continental options, but the Asian selections are where they really shine — proper pho, fresh spring rolls, and Vietnamese coffee that’s actually good. I tried the Full English option one morning (curiosity got the better of me), and while it wasn’t groundbreaking, it was solid enough. The restaurant area gets decent natural light, and you can watch the street come alive while you eat, which beats staring at a wall in some windowless hotel dining room.
Why Guests Love It
Look, this isn’t a place that’s going to wow you with fancy amenities or Instagram-worthy spaces. What it does do is get the fundamentals right — comfortable beds, helpful staff, and a location that puts you right in the middle of authentic Hanoi life. The fact that couples consistently rate the location so highly tells you something about the neighborhood vibe. You’re close enough to everything that matters, but far enough from the main tourist drags that you feel like you’re experiencing the real city. For the price point, it’s honestly hard to find better value in this part of town.

What could be improved: The wifi may need some improvement especially on the 6th floorWalter from United States – 9 February 2025 (9/10)
fixed western food for one, and Vietnamese for the other 3 persons.
We had to depart for sightseeing at 7:30 AM , and staff had "grab and go" prepared for us in advance so tour guide could pick us up on time.
What could be improved: First room assigned did not have hot water. Reassigned to another room with adequate hot water.
Rooms felt cold as there were no heaters in the room, only air conditioning.
Very reasonably priced.Donald from Canada – 11 January 2025 (9/10)
