You know what? I’ve stayed at a lot of places in Hanoi’s Old Quarter, and honestly, most of them feel either too touristy or like they’re trying way too hard. But Lotusama Central – well, it actually gets the balance right. The moment you walk in from Hàng Gà Street (and yes, you’ll hear motorbikes, but that’s just Hanoi being Hanoi), there’s this immediate sense that someone here actually understands what travelers need. The lobby isn’t massive or flashy, but it’s got this warm, lived-in feeling that makes you want to stick around and plan your day over coffee.

The location is honestly perfect if you want to feel like you’re living in the city rather than just visiting it. You’re literally a three-minute walk from Hoan Kiem Lake – I mean, you can see the morning tai chi crowds from some of the upper floors. But here’s the thing most people don’t realize: being on Hàng Gà puts you right in the middle of the real food action. There’s this incredible bun cha place about thirty seconds away that locals actually eat at (not just tourists), and honestly, I found some of my best meals just wandering the tiny alleys that branch off from the hotel. The staff – and I’m not just saying this – they actually know the neighborhood. Like, they’ll tell you which pho place opens earliest (6 AM, by the way) and where to get your laundry done without getting ripped off.

What really sold me on this place, though, was how it handles the small stuff that can make or break a stay. The rooms are genuinely comfortable – not just “comfortable for Vietnam” but actually comfortable. Air conditioning that works (crucial during summer), hot water that’s actually hot, and beds that don’t feel like sleeping on concrete. The Wi-Fi reaches everywhere, which sounds basic until you’ve tried to video call home from some other Old Quarter hotels. Check-in was smooth even when I arrived at some ridiculous hour after a delayed flight, and they stored my luggage without any fuss when I needed to explore before my room was ready. It’s these little things that show they’ve thought about what people actually need when they’re tired and far from home. I mean, the rating speaks for itself, but sometimes perfect scores make me skeptical – in this case, though, I get it. It’s not trying to be the fanciest place in Hanoi, but it does everything right without any of the usual Southeast Asia hotel headaches.

  The room is very clean, just like the photo on the page, spacious for a family of 3, has a small balcony with a view of the city. The hotel is located in the center of the old town, there are many restaurants, convenient stores nearby. Especially the staff is very enthusiastic, thank you for the suggestions, it is extremely useful. Chloe supported us the whole time there with the programs she provided very well. Totally recommend, will definitely come back next time

  Completely satisfied with choosing Lotusama as the place to start my vacation in Vietnam. The staff was supportive, they contacted me before I arrived, provided a safe and easy airport pick-up service for me – my first time in Vietnam. All the staff welcomed me with great hospitality (Chloe, Kenny, Happy, Huuy). The room was clean, had a balcony, it made me completely comfortable to enjoy the surrounding scenery, sipping a cup of coffee every morning. The buffet breakfast had a variety of dishes, with tropical fruits, and their pho was delicious.
  
  In addition, the tour programs were also provided by Chloe – Customer Service, everything went great
  
  I enjoyed my vacation in Vietnam in the most wonderful way, Thank you Lotusama, it's a pity to have to leave so early. I will definitely come back here as soon as possible
