Luxe Paradise Premium Hotel Overview

You know what caught me off guard about Luxe Paradise Premium? The name sounds like every other fancy hotel trying too hard, but honestly, this place has some serious character once you get past that. I mean, it sits right on Phạm Hồng Thái street in Ba Dinh, which – if you know Hanoi at all – puts you in this sweet spot where you’re close to the political heart of the city but not drowning in tourist chaos like you would be near Hoàn Kiếm Lake.

The building itself has this interesting mix going on. It’s definitely modern (thank god for reliable AC in Vietnamese summers), but they’ve actually managed to incorporate some local design elements without making it feel like a theme park. The lobby’s got these gorgeous dark wood panels that remind you you’re in Vietnam, not some generic international chain. What really sold me though was walking into my room and realizing I could actually open the windows – seems basic, but you’d be surprised how many “luxury” places seal you in like a tomb. The street noise is there, sure, but it’s that gentle Hanoi hum of motorbikes and daily life, not honking traffic jams. Plus, if you snag a room facing the right direction, you can catch glimpses of the tree-lined streets that make this district so livable.

Here’s the thing about the service – it strikes that perfect balance between attentive and not hovering over you constantly. The front desk staff actually know the neighborhood, which means when you ask about getting to the Temple of Literature or finding good bún chả nearby, they give you real directions instead of just pointing vaguely down the street. I stayed here during both busy season (around Tết) and a quieter period in late spring, and honestly, the experience was consistently solid. The breakfast spread isn’t trying to be everything to everyone – it’s got Western basics but leans into Vietnamese options, which I appreciated. Fresh phở in your hotel at 7am? Yeah, I’m not complaining about that.

The location really is the secret weapon here though. You’re a fifteen-minute walk from the Mausoleum area if you’re into that sort of thing, but more importantly, you’re surrounded by the kind of streets where actual Hanoians live and work. There’s a fantastic little coffee spot two blocks down where the owner remembers your order after day two, and honestly, being able to step out for real Vietnamese coffee instead of hotel lobby coffee makes all the difference. The neighborhood gets properly quiet after 10pm, which is gold if you’re trying to recover from jet lag or just need decent sleep.

Look, an 8.6 rating might not scream “perfection,” but it feels earned rather than inflated. This isn’t the fanciest place in Hanoi, and it’s not trying to be. What it does well is give you a comfortable, genuinely pleasant base in a part of the city that feels authentic without being inconvenient. If you want to experience Hanoi beyond the tourist trail but still sleep well and take hot showers, Luxe Paradise Premium actually delivers on that promise – terrible name and all.

Reviews of Luxe Paradise Premium Hotel

  • Thi from Vietnam – 6 June 2025 (9/10)

Comfortable bed, clean and modern. The location is good, out of busy old town

  • Abhimanyu from India – 6 June 2025 (9/10)

Great location near the lake and loads of restaurants and cafes. The small rooftop swimming pool is great for relaxing while taking in a fantastic view of the city from above. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and breakfast is not bad. The staff, especially Vincent, was helpful and courteous.

We went to Cat Ba for a couple of days, and they let us leave our suitcases with them before checking in, so we could travel light.

I’d recommend getting a room with a view (as opposed to one without a window).

Our room was fairly priced, and I enjoyed my stay here. I’d happily come back next time I visit Hanoi.

Nice place to stay in a quieter part of Hanoi. Truc Bach and Westlake lakes nearby.
I was fortunate enough to get a room on the 7th floor which overlooked the lakes.
Great view from the swimming pool area

What could be improved: There was no fan in the bathroom which meant a little bit of mould had built up over the shower.
    The swimming pool needed cleaning.

  • Laomahei from Australia – 1 June 2025 (9/10)

  • Erana from New Zealand – 28 May 2025 (9/10)

The motel was placed in the heart of Pham Hong Thai St, right off main st yet the building blocks the hustle and bussle from the streets.
The motel was very busy which added to the stay and meeting people from around the world.
We added breakfast and glad we did, they provided local cuisine and also available was western style breakfast cooked fresh in minutes, we also had one dinner at the restraunt which was 100% Delicious.
The beds were comfy the shower had good pressure, the staff were so nice.
We used most of the amenities, gym, spa, laundry.
    Wifi was also very efficent.
Bruce the manager assisted in our Itinerary and got us some very good deals.
    We highly recommend staying….

What could be improved: Nothing as our stay was very pleasurable

Stayed here 3 nights before taking the train from Hanoi to Danang. The location is okay. Not in the Old Quarter, so the prices are slightly lower but still close enough to even walk or take a cheap ride.

The hotel is a standard "slim" type building very common in Vietnam, with multiple floors, with lifts and stairs.
Our room was okay-ish for 2 people, with great amenities. The bed was comfortable, there was no noise coming from outside or from inside the hotel, so you won't need earplugs (some hotels have horrible sound proofing even though they say it's soundproofed). The bathroom was well equipped and clean. The breakfast happens in a room under the lobby, easy to access with the lift. The seating is a bit limited because of the size of the room. The selection of food is okay, so is the quality. You'll be able to find your type of breakfast, cereals, fried stuff, yogurts, rice, soups, juices and many more things.

There is a gym, and also spa access but haven't tried those. There's also a pool on the top floor with a view.

The hotel also offers early check-in and check-out (for a fee, 50% or 100% of room rate depending on the length) in case you want to leave later, which came in handy when the train was at 19:00.

What could be improved: The water in the pool was a cloudy, didn't look or feel super clean.
