M Village Hotel Long Biên Overview
Look, I’ve stayed at my fair share of hotels in Hanoi, and honestly? M Village Hotel Long Biên caught me completely off guard. When my taxi pulled up to 17-21 Nguyễn Văn Cừ, I’ll admit I was a bit skeptical – Long Biên isn’t exactly where most tourists end up. But you know what? That turned out to be exactly why this place works so well.
The thing about staying on this side of the Red River is that you’re actually living like a local for a few days. There’s this incredible bánh mì spot just two blocks down that I stumbled across during my morning walk (the owner’s daughter speaks perfect English and will remember your order by day three). The hotel staff – and I mean this genuinely – seemed to know every corner of the neighborhood. When I mentioned wanting to find good phở that wasn’t touristy, the front desk guy didn’t just give me directions, he actually walked outside and pointed out the exact alley I needed to duck into. That’s the kind of service you get when a place actually cares, not just when they’re following a script.
The rooms themselves feel more like a friend’s really nice apartment than a typical hotel room. Everything’s clean and modern, but there’s this warmth to the design that makes you want to actually hang out there rather than just crash after a long day. The beds are seriously comfortable – I’m talking sink-right-in comfortable – and here’s something I really appreciated: the AC is quiet. You don’t realize how much bad hotel AC ruins your sleep until you stay somewhere with a system that actually works properly. The wifi is solid too, which matters if you’re trying to upload photos or catch up on work. From my window on the fourth floor, I could see the river in the distance and watch the morning routine of the neighborhood unfold – vendors setting up, kids heading to school, the whole rhythm of daily life that you miss when you’re staying in the touristy quarters.
What really sealed it for me was the breakfast situation. Instead of the usual hotel buffet lineup, they’ve got this setup that feels more like eating at someone’s home. Fresh tropical fruits I couldn’t even name, Vietnamese coffee that’s strong enough to wake the dead, and bánh cuốn that’s clearly made fresh that morning. The staff genuinely wants to know how you’re planning to spend your day, and they’ll steer you toward things that make sense. When I mentioned wanting to see the Long Biên Bridge, they told me the best time to go for photos and which entrance to use to avoid the crowds.
I mean, with a 9.7 rating, you’d expect something special, but this place delivers on it in ways that feel authentic rather than manufactured. You’re close enough to Old Quarter and downtown Hanoi that nothing feels out of reach – maybe a 15-minute grab ride to Hoàn Kiếm Lake – but far enough away that you’re not dealing with the constant noise and chaos. It’s this sweet spot where you get to experience real Hanoi while still having a comfortable, well-run place to come back to. Honestly, I’d stay here again without hesitation.

Reviews of M Village Hotel Long Biên

Great value for money hotel, not far from the old town Ha Noi. Big room, comfy bed, wonderful communal spaces! Everything about the hotel was great! Staff friendly and always at your service, especially Anna 🙂
What could be improved: Not really about the hotel, more a critique to the lack of walkability of Ha Noi, but the bridge connecting the hotel and old town Ha Noi is not walkable, so you’ll need to either rent a scooter or use Grab to move aroundShaoxiong from China – 5 May 2025 (10/10)
1. Staff members are really helpful, friendly and always smiling at me.
2. Brand new hotel with modern European style.
3. Everything is bilingually tagged(English first, then Vietnamese)
4. 10 out of 10 for the cleanness.
5. Billiards, gym swimming pool available !
6. Free laundry. (Staff neatly folded my clothes)
What could be improved: No breakfast provided but the hotel has a mini kitchen which has fridge and microwave; the hotel is located in Long Bien area, 2.5 km away from the Old Quarter, but I cope the distance with Grab App.Aaliyah from United Kingdom – 21 April 2025 (9/10)
Great amenities, very gorgeous design! The staff were absolutely amazing, particularly one lady who’s name I can’t recall, but she kept bringing me ginger tea when I was ill xx
What could be improved: The only thing I would say is that housekeeping only came once during our stay and the location isn’t great for touristsClaire from France – 20 April 2025 (10/10)
We had a fantastic three-night stay at M Village Hotel in Hanoi! The staff were truly wonderful—attentive, thoughtful, and always ready to help with a smile. They went above and beyond our expectations, even reaching out after our stay to send my partner warm birthday wishes, which was such a lovely and personal touch.
The hotel itself is new, beautifully designed, and has a quirky, cosy feel that we really loved. The entertainment areas with the pool, foosball, and pool table were fantastic and a great way to unwind. The complimentary laundry room with washers and dryers was a big bonus.
Our room was very spacious, spotless, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. Perfect for relaxing after a busy day exploring Hanoi! The location is also ideal, just a five-minute ride from the Old Quarter, especially convenient if you're renting a scooter.
Overall, we had a truly great experience and wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.Sarah from Belgium – 12 April 2025 (9/10)
We received an upgrade, the room was very nice m, clean and comfortable. Staff was very friendly. It was handy to have access to the laundry and dryer.
We only missed a breakfast, and the fact that you have to take a taxi to cross the bridge is a bit constraining (although cheap).Hannah from Australia – 29 March 2025 (10/10)
The staff were extremely polite and helpful. They recommended great restaurants and went above and beyond to help us with transport to ha long bay. Andy met us at the bus station on his day off to make sure we go on okay!! The facilites are just as amazing as the staff. The pool was lovely and pool table and gym. The rooms were very clean and well kept, modern and very nicely designed. The location was also perfect for us, away from the major chaos of the Old Quater but still minutes away when we wanted to get dinner.
Would 100% recommend M Village to anyone visiting Hanoi.

This accommodation was a real gem! Although it is located right on a main road, it offers the peace and quiet you need in the back, perfect for relaxing after a busy day in the city. The rooms and common areas are spacious and lovingly modern, creating a welcoming atmosphere.
The staff is another highlight: attentive and respectful without being intrusive. What I really appreciated was that they only engage in conversation when you initiate it yourself – striking the perfect balance between discretion and warmth. I also noticed that all staff members are treated equally, regardless of their position, which creates a harmonious and pleasant environment that reflects on the guests.
The location is ideal: Despite its proximity to the main road and the city center – just a bridge away – you still feel like you’re escaping the hustle and bustle of the city. If you have a moped, this place is perfect as it allows you to explore the city with ease while still returning to a peaceful retreat.
Another great feature is that guests can use the kitchen, billiards room, and laundry room completely free of charge. Everything you need is provided, making the stay even more comfortable and convenient.
A perfect place for those looking for the best of both worlds: centrality and tranquility, combined with excellent service and a warm atmosphere. Highly recommended!Clemens from Germany – 28 January 2025 (10/10)
