The whole experience feels more like staying at a friend’s place than checking into a hotel, honestly. Location-wise, you’re going to be walking everywhere anyway (that’s just how the Old Quarter works), but you’re positioned perfectly for it. Ngoc Son Temple is practically next door, the weekend night market takes over your street Friday through Sunday, and you can walk to the French Quarter in about 10 minutes when you need a break from the intensity. Fair warning though – weekends get pretty lively outside, but that’s part of the charm. If you want complete silence, this isn’t your spot. But if you want to feel like you’re actually in Hanoi, not just visiting it, Mountain Dreamer’s House delivers exactly what it promises.
