The lobby area actually has this clean, modern vibe that doesn’t try too hard to be fancy – just well-maintained tiles and decent lighting, none of that overdone marble nonsense you see everywhere.

The location is actually pretty brilliant if you know Ba Dinh district at all. You’re basically a five-minute walk from the main Kim Ma street where all the good coffee shops are (there’s this place called Highlands Coffee that stays open late if you need wifi and decent iced coffee), and honestly, you can get to most of the tourist stuff without dealing with Old Quarter chaos. The Temple of Literature is maybe fifteen minutes on foot, and – this is key – you can actually walk to the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum area without getting completely lost in motorcycle traffic. I stayed here during shoulder season in October, and the alley stays pretty quiet even when the main streets get hectic around rush hour. There’s this little convenience store right at the mouth of the alley that stocks actual decent snacks and cold drinks, which saved me multiple late-night trips to find water.

What really works about this place is that it feels like an apartment building where they happen to rent rooms to travelers, not some corporate hotel trying to manufacture “authentic Vietnamese experience.” The staff – well, the front desk person I dealt with spoke solid English and actually knew bus routes, which is rarer than you’d think. Check-in was straightforward, no weird deposit drama or confusing key card situations. The 8.6 rating makes sense to me because it’s not trying to be luxury, but everything actually functions properly. Air conditioning works (crucial in Hanoi humidity), hot water is reliable, and the wifi doesn’t cut out every ten minutes like some places I’ve stayed. You’ll hear some street noise in the mornings – motorbikes, mostly, and the occasional street vendor – but it’s not the kind that keeps you awake. Actually, I sort of liked hearing the neighborhood wake up around 6:30 AM with coffee vendors setting up their tiny plastic stools on the sidewalk. If you’re the type who needs complete silence, maybe pack earplugs, but honestly, the sounds become pretty comforting after a night or two.

  Nhân viên rất nhiệt tình, luôn hỗ trợ khi cần, có dịch vụ giặt sấy, dọn phòng, rất thân thiện và flexible có tiện ích để xe nên về trễ không không phải kiếm chỗ để xe. Phòng khá to đầy đủ tiện nghi cần thiết, nồi niêu xong chảo, trà, cà phê, đèn sưởi tắm,…
  
  What could be improved: Phòng tuy to có cả bếp và phòng tắm tuy nhiên có cảm giac ko sạch lắm vì cặn canxi bám nhiều trong phòng tắm, sàn tắm, gương và cửa kính. Gọi reception chị ấy cũng rất nhiệt tình giúp dọn rửa thường xuyên.

  Location has many local restaurants (less than 1 km,) Circle K, ATMs, and many coffee shops nearby. Staff one short lady speaks so very limited English, but she will try her best with a smile to do what she can understand for customers.

  Bed is as hard as a wooden board. It's not a good bed to rest. Instead, it will give a person a very bad back pain. The owner should improve on the comfort level of the room's bed and pillows. Or even add a machine machine for down below of entrance area.
