You know what struck me first about the Nesta Grand Hao Nam? It’s actually got some personality – which honestly isn’t always a given with newer hotels in Hanoi. The lobby has this sort of understated elegance thing going on, not trying too hard to impress, but you can tell they put thought into the details. The staff at check-in were genuinely helpful too, not just going through the motions.

The location on Hào Nam Street is pretty smart if you ask me. I mean, you’re in Dong Da district, so you’re not dealing with the tourist chaos of the Old Quarter, but you’re still close enough to everything that matters. There’s this great little coffee shop about two blocks down that locals actually go to – not one of those places that exists purely for Instagram. And honestly, being slightly off the main drag means you can actually sleep at night without constant honking (though let’s be real, this is Hanoi, so there’s still some street noise). The Kim Liên metro station is maybe a 10-minute walk, which makes getting around pretty straightforward.

What I really appreciated was how the rooms felt… substantial, I guess? Like they didn’t cut corners on the basics. The beds are actually comfortable – not too soft, not too firm – and the air conditioning works properly, which matters more than you’d think during those sticky summer months. The bathrooms are well-designed too, with decent water pressure and space to spread out your stuff. I noticed they keep the common areas genuinely clean, not just surface-level tidy. You can tell in the elevators and hallways – there’s attention to maintenance that speaks well of management. The breakfast setup is solid without being fancy, and they seem to get the timing right so things don’t sit out too long getting stale. Overall, with that 8.6 rating, it feels about right – this isn’t a place that’ll blow your mind, but it does what it promises well, and sometimes that’s exactly what you want when you’re exploring a city as intense as Hanoi.

  The apartment, breakfast and the location of the hotel were amazing.
  
  What could be improved: The staff could have been a little bit more helpful on sightseeing/tourist information regarding Hanoi.

  We stay here everytime we visit Hanoi and have always been happy with the room. The serviced apartment is spacious and comes with a washer/drier in unit. The staffs are above and beyond, very polite and helpful.
  
  Be careful if you book through Booking.com's "Partner offer" option. It books a small room in Nesta hotel instead of a serviced apartment. The staff was quick to help us with the room upgrade onsite.
  
  What could be improved: Our room faces the courtyard and we can hear people playing pickleball from the courts nearby from 7am to 10-11pm everyday. Not terrible but good to be aware.

  The apartment rooms were clean, well serviced and spacious. The facilities available to us in the apartment room were superior. The hotel was close to most of the main attractions in Hanoi. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The breakfasts offered a varied spread and great eating experience.

  Nice decent Apartment for family stay . Not far from Halong Old quarter. It takes 10 min drive . Cosy Apartment with all amenities. Thanks to Ms Phuong for arranging taxi to & fro from airport & assisted with guiding on the sightseeing places . Overall an excellent stay .
