Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much when I first turned into that narrow alley off Kim Ma Street – you know how these Hanoi addresses can be, tucked away where you’d never think to look. But NINE HOUSING B3 actually surprised me in the best way. The building itself is modern and clean-lined, which stands out nicely against the typical Ba Dinh neighborhood backdrop of older apartment blocks and local eateries. What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets once you’re inside – I mean, Kim Ma can be pretty hectic with all the office workers and students rushing around, but somehow this little pocket feels removed from all that chaos.

The rooms are genuinely well-designed, not just Instagram-pretty but actually functional. The beds are firm (thank god, because Vietnam’s humidity makes you appreciate good airflow in a mattress), and they’ve got these blackout curtains that actually work – something you’ll be grateful for when the street vendors start their morning rounds at 6 AM. I loved that they didn’t go overboard with the industrial minimalist thing that every boutique place seems to be doing these days. Instead, there are these thoughtful touches like proper reading lights and enough outlets for all your devices. The bathrooms are compact but smart, with rainfall showers that have decent water pressure – honestly, that’s half the battle won right there in this part of town.

What really sold me on this place, though, is the location knowledge you get from staying here. You’re walking distance from some of Ba Dinh’s hidden gems that most tourists never find – there’s this incredible bun cha place about three minutes away that locals line up for, and the Kim Ma Market is close enough that you can grab fresh fruit for breakfast without it becoming a whole expedition. The staff clearly know the neighborhood well and gave me directions to places I never would have discovered otherwise. Plus, you’re positioned perfectly for getting around the city – close enough to the diplomatic quarter that taxis know exactly where you are, but not so touristy that everything’s marked up. The 8.9 rating makes sense to me because this isn’t trying to be the fanciest place in Hanoi, but it absolutely nails what it sets out to do. It’s the kind of spot where you feel like you’re staying somewhere real rather than in some sanitized hotel bubble, if that makes sense.

  有洗烘一体洗衣机，这个很方便。衣服放进去，洗完直接烘干了，非常的好这个。房间有电视，冰箱，饮水机，洗衣机。还有浴缸等，房间也很大，很宽敞，这个价格性价比非常高。
  
  What could be improved: 不满意的就是床单和被套，还有整套看起来没有洗干净的样子。这一点让我有点难以接受。不过要求房东来更换，房东也会积极配合，就是希望以后尽量做的整洁吧。
