Here’s what I love about this spot — you can walk to Hoan Kiem Lake in about three minutes, but you’re tucked away enough on Vọng Đức street that you won’t be dealing with constant motorbike noise all night. The location score of 8.2 honestly makes perfect sense when you realize how close you are to the weekend night market, the cathedral, and those tiny alleyway restaurants that serve the best pho in the city. I’ve stayed in places that claim to be “central” but still require a 15-minute walk to get anywhere interesting — that’s definitely not the case here.

The Two-Bedroom Setup

The apartment-style layout is where this place really shines, especially if you’re traveling as a couple or with friends. You get two proper bedrooms, which gives everyone space to spread out — something you rarely find in Hanoi’s Old Quarter without paying upscale hotel prices. The comfort level surprised me actually; the beds are genuinely good, and there’s enough storage space that you won’t be living out of your suitcase. The whole place feels more like staying in a well-appointed local apartment than a typical hotel room, which I think adds to the authentic Hanoi experience.

Neighborhood Life

What really sold me on this area is how it puts you right in the middle of actual Vietnamese daily life. You’ll wake up to the sounds of the neighborhood coming alive — street food vendors setting up, locals heading to work, the gentle chaos that makes Hanoi so captivating. There’s a great little coffee shop about 30 seconds away where you can get proper Vietnamese coffee for practically nothing, and the evening street food scene on nearby Hàng Mã is absolutely worth experiencing. You know what’s nice? You feel like you’re staying in a real neighborhood, not a tourist bubble.

Why Guests Love It

The 8.0 rating reflects what I experienced — it’s that sweet spot between comfort and authenticity that’s surprisingly hard to find in Hanoi. Couples seem to particularly appreciate the space and the romantic setting (being so close to Hoan Kiem Lake doesn’t hurt), but honestly, I think anyone who wants to experience the real rhythm of Old Quarter life while still having a comfortable retreat will find this place hits the mark.   The instruction for key collecting is very helpful from the host.
  
  What could be improved: The bathroom and the main room are separated by the hallway. That means you need to lock the door and go through the public area (although it's very short). But, for me, it's not privacy enough, especially bathroom.
  Moreover, the water pressure is extremely low in the bathroom.

  Our stay was really comfortable. The rooms were clean. All facilities were available in the room. The host was really good. The location is in old quarters so places were at a distance of 10 to 15 mins by Cab.
  
  What could be improved: The kitchen and bathroom were across the corridor.. although it was private so we didn't have any issue as such.
