Look, I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to Paragon Noi Bai Hotel & Pool on Đường Điền Xá 1, I wasn’t sure what to expect. The area feels a bit industrial at first glance, being out in Sóc Sơn district, but you know what? That actually turned out to be one of its biggest advantages. You’re far enough from Hanoi’s chaotic Old Quarter to actually get some sleep (I mean, if you’ve stayed in central Hanoi, you know the motorbike symphony never stops), but close enough to the airport that you’re not stressed about early flights.

The hotel itself surprised me – it’s got this clean, modern vibe that feels more upscale than you’d expect for the price point. The pool area is honestly the star of the show here. It’s not huge, but it’s well-maintained and there’s something really satisfying about having a proper swim after dealing with Hanoi’s humidity. The water’s usually perfect temperature, and I noticed they actually keep it clean – which, sadly, isn’t always a given at hotels in this range. What really sold me though was how quiet it gets in the evenings. You can hear birds instead of traffic, which is… well, it’s kind of magical if you’re used to city noise. The staff genuinely seems to care about the place too – not just going through the motions, but actually making sure things work properly.

Here’s the thing about staying out in this area – you’ll want to have your transportation sorted. There are local spots to grab bánh mì and phở within walking distance (there’s this little place about 200 meters down Võ Văn Kiệt that locals hit up for breakfast), but you’re not going to stumble out the door into a tourist district. That said, if you’re flying in or out of Noi Bai, the location is actually brilliant – maybe 15 minutes in decent traffic, and way less stressful than staying in the city center and fighting your way to the airport. The rooms are solid 4-star standard, nothing fancy but everything works, good water pressure, AC that actually cools the room down. I appreciated that they don’t try to oversell what they are – it’s a comfortable, well-run hotel that does the basics really well. The 8.1 rating makes sense to me; it’s not going to blow your mind, but it’s the kind of place where you sleep well, have a good breakfast, and leave feeling like you got your money’s worth. If you’re looking for proximity to airport convenience without the typical airport hotel vibe, this place actually delivers.

  We were only there for a short time but it totally met our needs for a layover before an early flight the next day. The shuttle service to and from the airport was great and cheap. The rooftop pool and bar looked great and would be wonderful if you are there during the daytime

  Love the first impression at the entrance and réception. Providence food for every meals and take out. Good variety of food for breakfast. Pool on top. Large room and comfortable bed and pillows.
