The rooms are clean and comfortable, though I’ll be honest, the soundproofing could be better if you’re sensitive to street noise. But honestly? That’s part of Hanoi’s charm, and you sort of expect it. The air conditioning works well, which matters more than you’d think during those humid summer months.

What really sets this place apart is the location knowledge you get just by staying here. Tay Ho is where a lot of expats live, so you’re not just in a tourist bubble – you’re seeing how people actually live in this city. The nearby Truc Bach Lake is perfect for early morning walks before the heat hits, and there’s this whole network of small cafes and local eateries that you’d never find if you were staying in the Old Quarter. Plus, getting to the main attractions isn’t complicated – about 15 minutes by taxi to Hoàn Kiếm Lake, maybe 20 to the Temple of Literature, depending on traffic (and there’s always traffic, let’s be real). The 7.9 rating feels about right – it’s not going to blow your mind, but it delivers on what matters: comfort, cleanliness, and staff who actually seem to care about giving you a good experience. I’d definitely consider staying here again, especially if I wanted to feel more connected to the real rhythm of Hanoi rather than just hitting the tourist highlights.

  What could be improved: Breakfast was not good enough. Just provide a dish you need to choose fruit or yogurt at least breakfast should be good. My friend was unhappy n get bored with that. So she said not to book with breakfast

  Breakfast was limited, but was very good. Omlettes, noodles etc… with yoghurts, bananas and juices or coffee. Service was very good.

  Location is top. View from balcony is over the lake and amazing. Room design was great, like an apartment. Staff very friendly and helpful.
  
  What could be improved: The aircon was very poor to non existent in the room. The shower system was very confusing to use and the overflow in bathroom was weird.
