Reyna Luxury Hotel & Spa Overview

Look, I’ll be straight with you about the Reyna Luxury Hotel & Spa – it’s one of those places that surprised me in the best way possible. When you first walk up to 34 Phố Miếu Đầm, you might actually wonder if you’re in the right spot because this narrow street in Hanoi’s Old Quarter doesn’t exactly scream “luxury hotel.” But that’s honestly part of what makes it work so well. You’re tucked away from the main tourist chaos on Hàng Bạc or Tạ Hiện, but you can still hear the gentle hum of motorbikes and street vendors that makes Hanoi feel alive – it’s not so quiet that you forget where you are, you know?

The thing about this place is that they’ve managed to create this little bubble of calm without losing the neighborhood’s character. I mean, step outside and you’re immediately in authentic Hanoi – there’s a fantastic phở place literally two doors down (the locals line up there every morning around 7 AM), and you can walk to Hoàn Kiếm Lake in about eight minutes if you don’t get distracted by the street food along the way. The hotel itself feels more intimate than those big international chains – maybe 30 rooms total? The spa is actually worth mentioning, which honestly surprised me because hotel spas can be hit or miss. They use local ingredients in their treatments, and the massage therapists seem to know what they’re doing rather than just going through the motions.

What really sold me though was the attention to small details that you don’t always get at this price point. The staff genuinely knows the neighborhood – not just the tourist spots but where to get your laundry done properly, which café has the best cà phê sữa đá, that sort of thing. The rooms are clean and comfortable without being flashy, and honestly, the air conditioning works perfectly, which is crucial during Hanoi’s sticky summer months. The breakfast spread includes both Western options and local dishes, and they make a surprisingly good bánh mì if you’re heading out for a day of exploring.

Now, it’s not perfect – the elevator is a bit slow, and if you’re on the street side, you’ll definitely hear some early morning activity from the vendors setting up shop. But honestly? That’s Hanoi for you, and if you wanted complete silence, you probably wouldn’t be staying in the Old Quarter anyway. The 8.1 rating feels about right to me – it’s solid, reliable, and the location gives you that authentic Hanoi experience without sacrificing comfort. For what you pay, especially considering you’re getting genuine luxury touches in one of the most atmospheric parts of the city, it’s actually quite a find.

Reviews of Reyna Luxury Hotel & Spa

  • Rechell from Philippines – 30 March 2024 (8/10)

I like the fact that the hotel is just a close distance from the event I attended. Everything else is accessible.
The staff were very courteous, friendly and helpful. All in all, it was worth the pay.

What could be improved: Nothing specific. It was comfortable.

  • Stefania from United Arab Emirates – 24 March 2024 (9/10)

    Nice room, very clean.

What could be improved: Breakfast not great.

  • Giorgos from Cyprus – 1 February 2024 (9/10)

    Very clean rooms, huge bathrooms

What could be improved: Close to a very noisy road.

  • James from United States – 1 January 2024 (8/10)

Many high quality details. It exceeded my expectations

What could be improved: A little street noise and an average breakfast

  • L from United Arab Emirates – 6 November 2023 (9/10)

A modern, well equipped hotel with a kind, helpful staff. Close to the National Convention Centre.

What could be improved: There are no reasonable restaurants nearby, only some kilometres away; just questionable quality street food is available in the district. The housekeeping turns up to do the room late in the afternoon, which is very inconvenient when taking a rest just having arrived following a long conference venue. A city view is advertised on Booking; nevertheless, there is no city view present from the room, just backyards of some neighbouring houses.

  • Kin from Malaysia – 5 November 2023 (9/10)

I booked a Jr Suite- located at the 7th Floor. Superb and amazing room- spacious and clean. Love the extra large king size bed 🛌.. The room is well equipped (iron and iron board is only available by request). Complimentary fruit 🍇 plate was made available upon check in 😃. The hotel is located at the main road- so do expect some street noise (motorcycles- beeps and honks 😅). Staffs- Okie 👍🏻. Didn’t try their breakfast- got up early to explore local, street food 😝. Location- not too great if you are planning to go to the old quarter of Hanoi frequently for food, street shopping- the journey from the hotel to old quarter by cab (approx 25-30mins and can be up to 1hr+ during peaked). I chose this place as it was close to the Hanoi Convention Centre. Well, getting a grab car 🚕 or bike 🏍️ is easy- so no worries 😉.

What could be improved: Weird noise from ?the aircond light switch?- can be disturbing 😳 before u doze off

  • Yunhsien from Taiwan – 2 October 2023 (8/10)

hotel is good, clean and comfort for business stay, cost performance is high and location is convenient.

What could be improved: a little noisy around due to traffic outside

  • Stephanie from Iceland – 28 September 2023 (8/10)

Staff was amazingly welcoming and friendly. The breakfast had variety and so that was great for me. The chef made any type of egg dish. The location was great for our conference needs, but a bit far from downtown for leisure activities. The rooms were nice, clean, everything worked fine.

What could be improved: For those who want yogurt or cereal, there wasn't any. We tried to have dinner one evening during advertised hours but the chef had gone elsewhere and couldn't come back – so dinner was in a local restaurant, not the hotel. The massage room was in the basement – adequate, but not fancy (note that they could also come to your room, but I wanted the hole for the face).

  • Cheng-hsien from Taiwan – 28 September 2023 (7/10)

    good

What could be improved: lots of noise outside

  • Yam from Malaysia – 3 May 2023 (7/10)

There is a small seating bench for shoes wearing and luggage, convenient. Room and bathroom are clean as well.
Coffee and food in general is nice. The kitchen accepts request for Pho and Omelettes.

What could be improved: The fruit and salad bar unfortunately quite difficult with the flies. Drinks dispensers not kept at high amounts, assuming as the hotel not at high capacity as dining room usually quite empty.
