What impressed me was how quiet it gets at night, considering you’re in the middle of one of Asia’s busiest cities. The staff… well, their English is hit or miss, but they’re genuinely helpful and patient, which counts for a lot when you’re trying to figure out directions or need restaurant recommendations.

Here’s what I wish someone had told me before booking: the Wi-Fi is actually really good (worked great for video calls back home), but the elevator is tiny – like, two people with luggage is pushing it. Also, breakfast is decent but pretty standard Vietnamese hotel fare, so honestly you’re better off exploring the neighborhood food scene anyway. The 7.3 rating makes sense to me because it’s not going to blow your mind, but it delivers exactly what you need – a clean, safe place to sleep in a genuinely local neighborhood where you can walk to three different convenience stores, countless food stalls, and catch buses or taxis easily. I stayed here during the rainy season and never felt stuck or isolated, which is more than I can say for some of the more “centrally located” places I’ve tried.
