SaziHome Cau Giay Hanoi Overview
You know what caught me off guard about SaziHome Cau Giay? It’s tucked away in this narrow alley off Trương Công Giai street, and I actually walked past the entrance twice before spotting it. The whole area feels very residential – you’ve got local families going about their daily routines, kids playing in the alleys, and the occasional motorbike weaving through. It’s not your typical hotel district, which honestly turned out to be one of my favorite things about staying there.
The property itself is solid – four stars feels about right, though some rooms definitely feel more generous than others. I stayed on the third floor and the view was just rooftops and daily Vietnamese life, which I mean, that’s exactly what I wanted anyway. The staff genuinely seemed to care about getting things right, though their English varies pretty dramatically depending on who’s working the front desk. What really impressed me was how they handled the whole check-in process during Tet season when half the city was practically shut down – they stayed on top of everything and even helped me figure out which restaurants would actually be open. The neighborhood gets surprisingly quiet after about 9 PM, so if you’re hoping to stumble back from late-night street food adventures, you’ll want to remember exactly which ngõ to turn into because they all start looking the same in the dark.
Here’s the thing about the location though – you’re maybe a 15-minute walk from some of the better coffee shops in Cau Giay district, and there’s this incredible bún chả place about three blocks away that I probably ate at four times during my stay. The woman who runs it doesn’t speak any English but she’ll just nod and bring you exactly what you need. Getting to the Old Quarter takes about 20 minutes by taxi (longer during rush hour, obviously), but honestly I found myself spending more time exploring this neighborhood than I expected. There’s a small market that sets up every morning right at the end of the alley where you can grab incredibly fresh fruit for basically nothing. The hotel rooms are clean and functional – nothing fancy, but the AC works well, which in Hanoi’s summer humidity is pretty much all that matters. My only real complaint is that the wifi gets a bit spotty on the upper floors, and the elevator is one of those tiny Vietnamese ones that fits maybe two people and their luggage if you’re being optimistic about it. But look, for the price point and the authentic neighborhood feel, SaziHome delivers on what it promises. You’re staying in real Hanoi here, not some sanitized tourist bubble.

Uy from Vietnam – 4 August 2023 (8/10)

The place met my expectations and as all described. Our room is spotless clean, decorated modernly and I was taken care of a lot while staying here. Lien & Haley are the host&co-host who are very supportive with everything you need with best effort. The neighborhoods around the old town is very lively during the day, very close to most of delicious & well-known restaurants and quiet at night. I think for a place like this, the room rate is very very suitable.
