Silk Hanoi Moment Hotel & Spa – Hanoi Old Quarter Overview
First Impressions
Walking into Silk Hanoi Moment Hotel & Spa – Hanoi Old Quarter, you immediately get that feeling of finding something special tucked away in the chaos of Hanoi‘s historic center. The lobby has this warm, welcoming vibe that feels authentically Vietnamese without being overdone — you know what I mean? It’s a three-star property, but honestly, the attention to detail makes it feel like they’re trying harder than some pricier places I’ve stayed.
Location & Getting Around
The location on Phố Hàng Mành is actually perfect if you want to be in the thick of things. You’re literally steps from Hoan Kiem Lake, and I mean literally — it’s maybe a three-minute walk. The weekend night market happens right around the corner, and you can easily wander to all those tiny street food stalls without dealing with taxis or motorbike rides. What I really appreciated was how couples seem to love this spot (they rate the location 9.5, which makes total sense), probably because you can just stroll hand-in-hand through the Old Quarter’s winding streets.
The Room Experience
My room was compact but thoughtfully designed — they’ve really maximized the space without making it feel cramped. The bed was surprisingly comfortable, and the air conditioning actually worked well, which isn’t always a given in this part of town. The bathroom was clean and modern, though don’t expect a huge soaking tub or anything fancy. What I loved was the little touches, like the way they’d arranged fresh towels and how quiet it stayed despite being right in the Old Quarter.
Spa & Breakfast
The spa services are where this place really shines for a three-star hotel. I got a massage after a long day of walking around, and it was exactly what I needed — professional but not overpriced like some of the tourist traps nearby. Breakfast offers both Continental and Asian options, which is smart because some mornings you want pho and other days you just need coffee and pastries. The Asian breakfast was definitely the winner though — fresh, local, and way better than the standard hotel fare you get at chain places.
Why Guests Love It
Look, this isn’t going to be the fanciest place you’ll ever stay, but there’s something really genuine about the whole experience. The staff actually seems to care about making your stay work, and the location means you can experience authentic Hanoi without feeling like you’re stuck in a tourist bubble. For the price point, you’re getting solid comfort, great access to everything the Old Quarter offers, and that spa bonus that makes it feel a bit more special. It’s the kind of place where you end up staying longer than planned because it just feels right.

Nice hotel with lovely front desk staff.
The room we booked was spacious and comfortable, we especially liked the big bed.
Water, tea and coffee were complimentary in the room. Breakfast is very basic but ok- you can choose two items from a menu (maybe 6 options) and there are fruits, bread, cereal and other items to help yourself with in the dining room.Nadiah from Singapore – 1 June 2025 (9/10)

We had a very pleasant stay at Silk Hanoi Moment Hotel & Spa in the heart of Hanoi’s Old Quarter. The location is excellent—most major attractions are just a short walk away, which made exploring the city super convenient.
The breakfast was not large but definitely satisfying. You could choose from four different cooked dishes, and if needed, you could always ask for a second portion. In addition to that, there was a small buffet with noodles, vegetables, fruits, and pastries—plenty of food to start the day well.
The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful throughout our stay, always ready to assist with a smile. Another great bonus was the massage salon on the ground floor. The service there was very good, and hotel guests receive a discount.
All in all, a great place to stay in Hanoi. Highly recommended!
