VietBorder LTK Overview

First Impressions

Walking into VietBorder LTK, you immediately notice how the staff seems genuinely happy to see you — not that rehearsed hotel smile you get at some places. The lobby has this clean, modern Vietnamese aesthetic that feels sophisticated without being stuffy. I mean, it’s clearly a four-star property, but there’s something refreshingly unpretentious about the whole setup. The location on Phố Lý Thường Kiệt puts you right in the heart of things, and honestly, you can feel the energy of Hanoi’s Old Quarter just steps away.

Location & Neighborhood

Here’s what I love about staying at VietBorder LTK — you’re literally in the sweet spot of Hoan Kiem district. You know how some hotels claim to be “centrally located” but you still need a taxi to get anywhere interesting? Not here. Hoan Kiem Lake is practically around the corner, and the weekend night market is close enough that you’ll hear the buzz of activity from your room (in a good way). The street food scene is incredible within a two-block radius, and I actually discovered some of my favorite pho spots just by wandering out the front door. Couples seem to particularly appreciate this area — and I get why, because there’s something romantic about those tree-lined streets and the way the old French colonial buildings mix with traditional Vietnamese architecture.

The Room Experience

The rooms are well-designed without being flashy — think clean lines, comfortable beds, and those little touches that show someone actually thought about what travelers need. The air conditioning works properly (crucial in Hanoi’s humidity), and the windows are well-insulated so you can sleep despite being in such a lively neighborhood. What surprised me was how spacious everything felt, even though you’re in the middle of one of Asia’s most densely packed cities. The bathrooms are modern and the water pressure is solid — honestly, after a day of walking around Hanoi’s chaotic streets, a good shower makes all the difference.

Service & Daily Life

The staff at VietBorder LTK actually knows the neighborhood, which sounds basic but you’d be surprised how rare that is. They’ll point you toward the good banh mi place (not the tourist trap one) and can arrange motorbike taxis when you need them. Breakfast is Vietnamese-focused with some international options, and they’re flexible about timing if you’re dealing with jet lag. The whole operation feels efficiently run without being impersonal — like they’ve figured out how to be helpful without hovering.

Why Guests Love It

Look, VietBorder LTK isn’t trying to be the fanciest hotel in Hanoi, and that’s exactly why it works so well. You get solid comfort, genuinely useful service, and a location that puts you right where you want to be without paying premium prices for unnecessary frills. The fact that recent guests rated the location so highly tells you everything — when you’re exploring a city like Hanoi, being able to walk everywhere that matters is worth more than a fancy lobby. It’s the kind of place where you spend your time out discovering the city rather than hanging around the hotel, but you’re always happy to come back at the end of the day.

Reviews of VietBorder LTK

  • Kathy from Vietnam – 24 May 2025 (9/10)

The apartment was clean, good area to stay for vacation or holiday time, food around, lot of coffee shop. Reasonable price and i Will come back next time when i go to Ha Noi for holiday.

  • Monika from Germany – 5 May 2025 (8/10)

Es gibt heißes Wasser an der Dusche, der Host hat innerhalb von Minuten reagiert auch wenn es sehr spät abends war und uns alle nötigen Informationen via WhatsApp zukommen lassen.

What could be improved: Alles gut 🙂

  • Jinma from Japan – 31 March 2025 (5/10)

It's in a very convenient location.
The card key box is at the right of the entrance, but it's little hard to notice it. The restaurant name of the apartment building is NAM PHUONG.

  • Sylvain from Germany – 24 March 2025 (7/10)

Very nice location. Wood flooring. Panorama windows.

What could be improved: Very noisy, especially because of construction sites opposite and right next door.

  • Giang from Vietnam – 17 March 2025 (2/10)

    Nice location

    What could be improved: Noise

  • Angela from United Kingdom – 9 March 2025 (9/10)

Fantastic location. Really comfortable beds. Quiet air con in all rooms. Beautiful bathrooms and
Lovely showering facilities. Really comfortable sofa and classy looking apartment. Large TV. Excellent washing and drying machines facilities. Excellent host who was very accommodating, accessible, and thoughtful. Provided British conversion plugs, which was a first.

What could be improved: The communal area and main entrance; but we needed to remind ourselves this is Vietnam. No drinking glasses. No English setting on the tv and the remote not working. Should have spare batteries available for when this happens. But was able to access Netflix from our personal account. Building work next door with periodic drilling and banging in the morning heard from the bedrooms.. As other reviews warned of this, we brought earplugs, and it ensured we made the most of our time sightseeing. As we were going to be out during the day, this work didn't impact on our 10 day stay; as everything else about this apartment, location, comfort and host, made it feel like a 10/10.

  • Clare from United Kingdom – 7 March 2025 (8/10)

    The property was clean

What could be improved: This is an apartment and not a hotel. Not hotel reception or staff to help with stay . Accessing the building is easy WHEN you have been given details of how to . The details came late from the vendor. And as such we spent half an hour in panic with locals kindly trying to help us. Communication about accessing the flat could of been improved to reduce the stress. We were on the verge of finding another property for the night .

  • Thi from Vietnam – 12 February 2025 (9/10)

Convenient location, city center but locates in a quiet and big street, walking distance to the Sword Lake and Opera House.

Spacious and fully furnished apartment, the washing machine and dryer machine are very helpful. It is perfect for family trip with 2 bed rooms and the living room area, 2 bath rooms are also a big plus. The room looks exactly like the pictures in Booking.com.

The noddle shop in front of the gate to the apartment is good and super cheap.

    Note:
    – room service is provided every 3 days, if you want more, ask the apartment supervisor.
    – only accept cash or bank transfer payment.

  • Adele from France – 10 January 2025 (8/10)

Practical location with two nice typical breakfast places downstairs serving banh mi and pho, kind and helpful hosts, comfortable beds, easy access with mix card to access elevator and door code.

What could be improved: It can be a little noisy (you can hear the neighbors) and there was construction work starting very early in the morning during our stay.

  • Tuyên from Vietnam – 27 December 2024 (9/10)

    clean, cozy, comfortable bed
