So I stayed at this Vinhomes Time City apartment – yeah, the name’s a mouthful – and honestly, it’s one of those places that grows on you. When you first roll up to 423 Minh Khai, you’re looking at this massive residential complex that feels more like a small city than just a hotel. I mean, Vinhomes Time City is basically Hanoi’s answer to those giant mixed-use developments, and this two-bedroom setup sits right in the thick of it all.

The apartment itself is actually pretty solid for what you’re paying. You get proper bedrooms (not those cramped hotel boxes), a kitchen that’s functional enough if you want to grab groceries from the Big C downstairs, and windows that look out over the development’s courtyards. What struck me most was how quiet it gets once you’re inside – which is saying something because Minh Khai street can get pretty hectic during rush hour. The building’s got good soundproofing, though you’ll still hear the occasional motorbike convoy if you’re on the lower floors. Check-in was straightforward enough, though communication can be a bit hit-or-miss if your Vietnamese is rusty like mine.

Here’s what I really appreciated: you’re basically living like a local for a few days. There’s a whole shopping mall connected to the complex (Times City itself), so you can grab everything from pho to Korean BBQ without stepping outside. The metro station’s about a 10-minute walk, which gets you to the Old Quarter in maybe 20 minutes – way better than dealing with Hanoi traffic if you’re trying to get around during the day. Plus, you’ve got that massive artificial beach and water park right there if you’re traveling with kids, though honestly, I found it a bit surreal swimming indoors while street vendors are hawking bánh mì just outside. The whole setup has this interesting contrast between ultra-modern apartment living and traditional Hanoi chaos just beyond the gates. It’s not boutique-hotel charming, but there’s something refreshingly practical about it – like staying in someone’s actual home rather than a sterile hotel room. Just don’t expect concierge service or daily housekeeping; this is more of a “here are the keys, figure it out” kind of place.

  We stayed in Park 12 Vinhomes Times City Park Hill Premium for 6 nights. The location of this apartment was approximately 20 mins away from bustling tourist spot of Hanoi Old Quarter by car (longer in peak traffic), but it was very family oriented and kid friendly! We spent a lot of time exploring Times City, however tour pick-ups were done from Old Quarter so we had to travel by Grab (equivalent to Uber) back to Old Quarter.
  
  Overall, the stay in Hanoi was great and the location was the perfect spot for travelling with a toddler and being pregnant. Communication could have been smoother, but it did not hinder us from our experience.
  
  What could be improved: Communication with the host is poor. Approval for an early check-in request of between 9am-10am was given to us, but as we arrived at the apartment, we received no further communication although we frequently updated her on when we landed, picked up by the airport shuttle, on the way to the apartment, and attempted to call her via WhatsApp. We waited for over an hour in the lobby when we were finally informed that the room was not ready. There was no baggage storage at the lobby, so we were advised we could store them in a sperate building, about a 10mins walk away or possibly longer. We did not check-in until after 2pm.
  
  Both card access did not work for the doors to enter the building, but the cards were not needed for the lifts or apartment room door. The card access also did not work for the free outside pool, but the pool staff allowed us to enter. There is no rooftop infinity pool, however there is an underground pool located in a different building and at an additional cost.

  Thích phòng rộng rãi. Có 2 phòng ngủ rất phù hợp với gia đình. Có bể bơi dưới căn hộ trẻ con rất thích
