When you first walk into this place on Liễu Giai Street, you’re not getting that sterile hotel lobby vibe – it actually feels like you’re entering someone’s really nice apartment building, which I guess you technically are. The whole setup is part of this massive Vinhomes complex, and Emily’s crew has carved out something pretty special here.

What really gets me is the location – I mean, you’re literally a five-minute walk from Lotte Tower if you need that big mall fix, but you’re also close enough to the Old Quarter that you can grab a motorbike taxi and be slurping pho on the street corners in fifteen minutes. The Ba Dinh district thing works perfectly because you’re away from the tourist chaos but still connected to everything. I loved that you could walk to Kim Ma street for some serious local eats, and honestly, the Korean BBQ spots around there are ridiculously good (side note: there’s a huge Korean expat community in this area, so the food is legit). The apartment I stayed in had floor-to-ceiling windows looking out over the city, and you know what? The soundproofing is actually decent – Hanoi can get pretty noisy, but inside you’re in your own little bubble.

The practical stuff is where this place really shines though. Check-in was smooth – no standing around a lobby counter, they actually meet you at the apartment and walk you through everything like a normal person would. The kitchen setup is what sold me; I’m talking full-size fridge, proper stovetop, enough counter space to actually cook if you want to hit up the local markets (and you should – Cho 19-12 market is maybe ten minutes away on foot). Emily’s team clearly gets that people staying here aren’t just passing through for a night – the washing machine works perfectly, there’s decent wifi throughout, and they’ve got this housekeeping schedule that doesn’t feel intrusive. Parking can be a bit of a puzzle if you’re renting a car, but honestly, in this part of Hanoi you’re better off using Grab anyway. One tiny thing – the elevator can get busy during rush hours since you’re sharing with actual residents, but that’s sort of charming in its own way. The whole experience feels less like staying at a hotel and more like temporarily living in Hanoi, which is exactly what you want when you’re trying to actually experience the city instead of just passing through it.
