The hotel itself feels like someone took a narrow Hanoi house and just… made it work better. Rooms are clean and modern enough (definitely feels like a solid 4-star), though don’t expect sprawling spaces – this is Hanoi, after all, where every square meter costs a fortune. But the beds are actually comfortable, which I honestly wasn’t expecting, and the AC works properly, which matters more than you’d think when you’re dealing with Hanoi’s humidity.

What I really appreciated was how the staff seemed to know their neighborhood. Not in that rehearsed concierge way, but like they could tell you which phở place around the corner is worth the wait (there are three within walking distance, and yes, there’s definitely a right answer). The area stays pretty quiet at night – you get the occasional motorbike, but nothing like the chaos near Hoan Kiem Lake. During the day though, it’s got this perfect urban energy where you can walk to legitimate local spots without fighting through crowds of tour groups. The Temple of Literature is maybe a 10-minute walk if you don’t mind dodging traffic, and you’re close enough to the government district that you feel like you’re seeing a different side of the city. Check-in was straightforward – no drama, no unexpected fees, just keys and a genuine smile. The only minor thing I’d mention is that the elevator is… well, it’s one of those Vietnamese elevators where you just hold your breath and hope for the best, but it gets the job done. For the price point and that 8-out-of-10 rating, Vitamin Home Ba Đình delivers exactly what you’d want from a neighborhood hotel – comfort, cleanliness, and that feeling like you’re staying somewhere real instead of some generic international chain.

  Lots of room, bedsheets were clean, there was free wifi and they provided water.
  
  What could be improved: There was a hole in the wall, during the night that seemed to have been a portal into a dimension of hatred where rats are the only denizens that plague this mortal realm.

  The host was super nice and helpful. Our flight got delayed but we still managed to be able to sleep here despite arriving late at night. The apartment has everything you need and is well located (lots of things are within walking distance). The hot shower was working well, there was an AC and fan if needed. Tv was a nice plus. Beds were comfy. Enough things to cook a meal yourself if you wanted to. There's even a washing machine, which we greatly appreciated to wash our dirty laundry.
  
  What could be improved: Cleanliness could be improved. Neighbours can be a bit noisy as there is no soundproofing (sometimes it really felt like they were in the apartment). Lots of stairs which can be complicated for some people.

  The vitamin team was excellent with communication (answered all our questions very quickly and helped to organise an additional night in another accommodation and a taxi for us) and they went out of their way to help us upon arrival when our flight was majorly delayed and had to check in at 130am. We liked that this accommodation was away from the tourist areas and we felt that it offered an authentic experience of living in Hanoi. Also, it has a very good internet connection. The location was great for seeing most sights and museums in Hanoi.

  Fijn, centraal gelegen appartement.. op loopafstand van de oude wijk en in een charmante lokale wijk waar het leuk is om het lokale leven te zien. Geen last van straatgeluid. Fijne, warme douche. Goede prijs kwaliteitverhouding.
  
  What could be improved: Door een gat in de muur konden we de buren horen. Dit was naast het bed waar onze kinderen probeerden te slapen en daardoor wat onhandig soms.
