I mean, you’re literally a five-minute walk from the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum (though let’s be real, you probably won’t be doing that walk at 6 AM), but somehow the street noise doesn’t really penetrate the rooms.

The whole setup is sort of hybrid – part hotel, part serviced residence – which actually works really well if you’re staying more than just a couple nights. The rooms have this lived-in feel without being worn down, if that makes sense. They’ve got proper kitchenettes in most units, and I’m talking full-size fridges, not those tiny hotel minibars that barely fit a water bottle. The staff genuinely seems to remember your preferences after a day or two, which is refreshing. Check-in is usually smooth, though I’d avoid arriving during the 3-4 PM rush when all the business travelers are showing up.

What really sold me on this place is the location intelligence – and I don’t mean that in a marketing brochure way. You’re positioned perfectly to dodge the Old Quarter tourist chaos while still being connected to everything that matters. Walk ten minutes toward Sheraton and you hit all the international restaurants and cafes. Head the other direction and you’re in proper local territory with street food that’ll ruin you for anywhere else. The building’s right off Nguyen Chi Thanh, so grabbing a taxi or Grab is never a problem, and – this is huge – there’s actually decent parking if you’re brave enough to rent a motorbike. The 7.7 rating feels about right; it’s not luxury by international standards, but it’s solid, dependable, and the kind of place where small details work in your favor. The WiFi actually works throughout the building, the hot water is consistent (trust me, this matters in Hanoi), and housekeeping doesn’t wake you up at dawn. Plus, the breakfast situation is better than you’d expect – not just pho and eggs, but actual variety that changes daily. I keep coming back because it feels like a real base in the city rather than just a place to sleep between tourist activities.

  You have a lot of privacy, the staff is willing to help you (once they understand you) and it's pretty quiet at night.

  What could be improved: It is located in the Japanese area, which means that you will find ladies after 7pm offering their services everywhere. The mattress is split in half (I didn't know if it was two mattresses together). It is clean but needs a deep cleaning, you can see dust around the bed, shampoo or soap residue in the shower and a bit of mold in the sink. It is difficult to communicate with the staff, they don't speak any English.

  What could be improved: – Không trung thực, nhập nhèm trong việc nhận đặt phòng. Cụ thể là mặc dù trên Booking không hề yêu cầu thanh toán trước tiền phòng, hơn nữa còn cho miễn phí huỷ phòng đến trước 14 giờ chiều, nhưng phía khách sạn chủ động nhắn tin Zalo yêu cầu khách phải thanh toán tiền trước mới được giữ phòng, còn không thì không chịu trách nhiệm nếu khách đến mà không có phòng.
  – Không chỉ có thế, đến khi khách chốt là sẽ chuyển khoản tiền trước để được giữ phòng thì lại kêu là chỗ nghỉ đã hết phòng, nếu muốn ở thì phải sang một địa điểm khác. Đến lúc này thì cực kì khó chịu rồi, nhưng vì có công việc ở khu vực đó, cực chẳng đã mình đành phải thanh toán trước để được giữ phòng ở một địa điểm khác KHÔNG PHẢI NƠI ĐÃ BOOK QUA BOOKING.
