The location on Ngõ 264 Âu Cơ is honestly perfect if you want to feel like you’re living in Hanoi rather than just visiting it. It’s tucked into one of those narrow alleys (the “ngõ” that locals navigate like they’ve got GPS built into their DNA), but here’s the thing – you’re still super close to the main Âu Cổ road where you can actually catch a taxi or grab without the driver getting completely lost. I’ve stayed in places deeper in the maze of Tay Ho alleys, and honestly, good luck getting your Grab driver to find you at 6 AM for that early flight. This spot hits that sweet spot where you feel authentically local but aren’t completely cut off from civilization.

The studio itself surprised me – and I’ve been bouncing around Hanoi accommodations for years. It’s got this clean, minimalist thing going on that doesn’t feel sterile (you know how some places are so “modern” they feel like a dentist’s office?). The green view they mention is actually from a little balcony area where you can sit with your morning coffee and watch the organized chaos of Vietnamese daily life unfold below. There’s this elderly woman who runs a tiny breakfast cart that sets up around 6:30 AM right where you can see her – the smell of bánh mì and fresh herbs drifts up, and honestly, it’s better than any hotel breakfast buffet. The sound situation is what you’d expect from Tay Ho – it’s Vietnam, so there’s definitely motorbike noise and the occasional karaoke session, but it dies down after 10 PM mostly. Way quieter than the Old Quarter, that’s for sure.

What really sold me on this place was the attention to details that matter when you’re actually living somewhere for more than a night. The shower has proper water pressure (seriously underrated until you’ve had a few sad dribble experiences), there’s enough electrical outlets positioned where you actually need them, and the AC doesn’t sound like a helicopter landing when it kicks on. The host clearly gets what travelers need – there’s a proper workspace setup if you’re doing the digital nomad thing, and the kitchen area is functional enough for real cooking, not just reheating instant noodles. Plus, and this might seem small, but the Wi-Fi actually reaches the balcony, which means you can work outside without tethering to your phone data.

The 9.4 rating makes total sense once you’ve been there a few days. It’s not flashy or Instagram-perfect, but it’s the kind of place where everything just works the way it should. You’re a 10-minute walk from West Lake where locals do their morning exercises, five minutes from some genuinely good local restaurants that haven’t been discovered by food bloggers yet, and close enough to the expat area that you can find Western groceries when you’re craving cheese that doesn’t come individually wrapped in plastic.

  Para el precio que tiene está súper bien. El servicio de lavadora y secadora es un plus sin lugar a dudas. Tanto el checkin como checkout es independiente y te mandan las instrucciones. La única pega que al abrir la puerta de la habitación había una cucaracha muerta, por todo lo demás bien, nevera, cocina equipada, calentador de agua, toallas en buenas condiciones. Recomendable 😃

  Excellent service from the manager. Quick to respond and very helpful. The apartment is modern, comfortable, soundproofing, and has great facilities. Also has great views from the balcony.
  The location was perfect for me. Close to all amenities, near the river and nature gardens. The price was one of the lowest for a double bed apartment and the highest in quality. Very happy and pleased in all categories! Highly recommended!

  What could be improved: 주변에 음식점이나 카페가 없어서 먹으러 멀리까지 나가야 합니다
  그리고 과수원에서 농약을 뿌리거나 쓰레기를 태우는 일들이 있어서 창문을 열어놓기는 힘듭니다
