I mean, you’ll still hear the occasional motorbike (it’s Hanoi, after all), but nothing like the constant honking you get closer to the Old Quarter.

What really won me over was how thoughtfully everything’s set up. The owner – and I’m pretty sure they actually live nearby because they knew every good pho spot within walking distance – has this knack for anticipating what you need. Fresh towels that actually smell good, not like industrial detergent. A kitchen that’s genuinely functional if you want to grab some ingredients from the morning market on Nghĩa Tân street. Even the wifi password was written in actual handwriting, not some generic hotel card. The whole place just breathes authenticity in a way that makes those sterile international hotels feel ridiculous. Sure, it’s not going to have a concierge desk or room service, but honestly? You’re staying in a residential neighborhood where a bowl of bún chả costs less than a hotel coffee anyway. The 9.3 rating makes total sense once you spend a night here – it’s the kind of place that makes you feel like you’re experiencing Hanoi the way it’s actually lived, not just visited. Plus, and this might sound weird, but the house has this faint smell of lemongrass that I swear made me sleep better than I had in weeks.

  Крайне колоритный и живописный район, сам домик тоже симпатичный. Есть два балкона, оба очень милые)
  Интерьер – супер, особенно обеденная группа на втором этаже. Места в доме – море, оснащение на кухне, да и везде – выше всех похвал! Два санузла, что удобно, напор воды хороший
  В общем, нам очень понравилось, соотношение цена/качество – великопеное
