It’s actually on the quieter end of Kim Ma Street, which – if you’ve ever walked down the main drag during rush hour – you’ll appreciate more than you think. I mean, you’re still close enough to everything that matters, but you won’t have motorbikes honking outside your window at 6 AM. The building itself has this clean, modern feel without being sterile, and honestly, the lobby smells like fresh jasmine instead of that generic hotel air freshener most places seem to love.

The apartments themselves are surprisingly spacious for Hanoi standards. I’m talking actual room to spread out your stuff, not just a bed crammed next to a tiny desk. The kitchenette is legit functional too – I actually cooked a few meals there using ingredients from the weekend market on Giang Vo (just a ten-minute walk, by the way). What really got me was the attention to small details: proper blackout curtains that actually block the streetlights, a decent shower with water pressure that doesn’t make you want to cry, and – this might sound weird – but the Wi-Fi reaches every corner of the room. You’d be amazed how many places in the Old Quarter can’t manage that basic requirement.

Location-wise, you’re in this sweet spot where you can walk to the Lotte Tower area if you want that polished international vibe, but you’re also close enough to dart over to the more authentic neighborhoods around Thai Ha or even catch a quick taxi to the Old Quarter without breaking the bank. The staff genuinely knows the area too – not just the tourist stuff, but where to find the best bun cha that locals actually eat at, or which coffee shop has the strongest ca phe sua da. During my stay, the front desk guy (I think his name was Minh) sketched out a little map showing me how to cut through the side streets to avoid the construction mess on Lang Ha. That’s the kind of insider knowledge you don’t get from booking sites, you know? The 8.5 rating makes total sense when you add up all these little things that just work smoothly together.
