You know how Tay Ho can be with these winding streets, but once you get your bearings, the location is actually pretty perfect. I mean, you’re close enough to the lake action without dealing with all the weekend crowds that swarm the main drag.

The apartment itself has this lived-in feel that I really appreciated – not sterile like some of those cookie-cutter hotel rooms, but genuinely comfortable. Davidduc clearly knows what travelers actually need because there’s proper counter space in the kitchen (thank god), decent water pressure in the shower, and the WiFi doesn’t cut out every five minutes like it does at half the places I’ve stayed in Hanoi. The neighborhood gets surprisingly quiet at night too, which was a nice surprise since I was worried about motorbike noise. You’ll still hear the occasional xe om puttering by, but nothing like the chaos closer to the Old Quarter.

What really sold me on this spot was how easy it made exploring the area feel. There’s this little coffee shop maybe two minutes away where the locals actually hang out – not the touristy spots with the inflated prices – and you can walk to West Lake without breaking a sweat. The morning joggers and tai chi groups give the whole area this peaceful vibe that’s hard to find in the city center. Plus, Davidduc was genuinely helpful with recommendations that weren’t just the usual suspects. He pointed me toward this incredible bun cha place that I never would have found otherwise (and honestly, it was better than the famous one everyone raves about). The 7.7 rating feels about right – it’s not luxury by any means, but for the price point and the authentic neighborhood experience, it delivers exactly what it promises. Just don’t expect room service or a concierge desk, because this is more like staying at a friend’s place who happens to know all the good spots.

  What could be improved: 入住時，看見接待人員赤腳躺在沙發上，茶几、餐桌、廚房、床頭櫃甚至地板都有灰塵，非常的不乾淨，盥洗用品、拖鞋也不足住客人數，最糟糕的是入住的兩天中，早上六點即有施工的噪音，非常不推薦此住宿，並且我預定是雙床房，卻給我三床房，客廳陽台明顯小非常多

  What could be improved: 청소 상태가 좀 아쉬움. 바닥에 먼지가 많음. 방 세 개 중 하나에 에어컨이 고장나 있었음. 주인과 만나서 열쇠를 받고 사용설명을 들어야 해서 시간 맞추기가 까다로울 수 있음. 공사 구간 때문에 호안끼엠 쪽으로 택시 타고 나가기가 더딤. 3층 이상의 아파트였더라면 외부 전선에 방해 받지 않고 완벽한 호수 전망을 즐길 수 있을 것 같음.

  Incredible view over the lake and conveniently near the shops and cafes in the area. An excellent ice cream and coffee shop just beside the flat. All very friendly.

  The apartment was really spacious and well equipped for our needs. The beds were comfortable and the balcony has a beautiful view of the lake and city.
  The man at the front desk was so friendly, smiley and helpful, he made us feel very welcome.
  The location was nice and quiet but close enough to great local bars and restaurants.
  There was nothing to complain about this place, we felt at home and it was great value for money.
