But walking into the lobby, there’s this immediate sense that they actually put thought into the design. It’s not trying too hard to be fancy, but there’s real attention to detail in the marble work and the way natural light filters through those floor-to-ceiling windows.

What really sold me on this place, though, is the location situation. You’re right in Quang An, which honestly feels like you’ve discovered this pocket of Hanoi that most tourists completely miss. The thing is, you’re literally a five-minute walk from the lake – and I’m talking about the good part of West Lake where locals actually hang out, not the touristy sections. There’s this coffee vendor who sets up on the corner every morning around 7 AM, and the staff actually told me about him (which, you know what, says something about a place when the concierge knows the neighborhood that well). The suites themselves are spacious in a way that’s rare for Hanoi – I could actually open my suitcase without having to move furniture around, which was refreshing after some of the shoebox rooms I’d stayed in elsewhere in the city.

Here’s what I really appreciated: the soundproofing is legitimate. Tay Ho can get lively, especially on weekends when the expat crowd heads to the lakeside bars, but inside the room it was genuinely quiet. The air conditioning worked without sounding like a helicopter, and – this might sound weird – but the shower pressure was actually impressive for Vietnam. Small things, but they matter when you’re dealing with Hanoi’s humidity and dust. The breakfast spread was solid too, though they lean heavy on Western options if you’re hoping for more local dishes. Check-in was smooth, no hassles with my slightly early arrival, and the front desk staff switched between Vietnamese, English, and what sounded like French depending on who was asking questions. The whole experience felt effortless in a way that’s hard to fake – like they’ve figured out the rhythm of running a hotel properly. Sure, it’s pricier than some options in the Old Quarter, but honestly, after a day of navigating Hanoi’s beautiful chaos, coming back to a space that just… works… felt worth every dong.

  Location Location Location. I wanted to stay in a quite location and this is exactly what I got. Huge Pool, Spacious Clean self contained apartment. Breakfast was good and decent.
  
  What could be improved: Reception lady was grumpy and was not in a mood to help me. I have never seen Shower head with so much scale in a hotel/apartment. Hot water stopped after 2 minutes. Bath tub was making lot of noise. Bathroom was a disaster.
