Hana Stay Trần Quốc Hoàn Overview

You know what surprised me most about Hana Stay Trần Quốc Hoàn? It’s tucked away in this narrow lane that you’d probably walk past twice before finding it, but once you’re inside, it feels like you’ve discovered something the guidebooks missed. The building itself is sleek and modern – honestly, way more polished than I expected for what’s essentially a boutique hotel in a residential pocket of Cầu Giấy district.

The location is actually pretty brilliant if you know Hanoi at all. You’re about a fifteen-minute walk from Lotte Tower (which locals either love or hate, no in-between), and the neighborhood has this lived-in feel that tourist areas just don’t have. There’s a decent bánh mì spot two blocks over that opens ridiculously early, and the evening street food scene along the bigger roads nearby is legit – I mean, you’ll see Vietnamese families eating there, which is always the best sign. The staff seemed genuinely surprised when I knew some basic Vietnamese, which tells you this place gets more international business travelers than backpackers. Check-in was smooth, though the lobby’s smaller than the photos make it look.

What really won me over was the attention to small details that matter when you’re actually living somewhere for a few days. The rooms are clean in that crisp, almost sterile way that feels reassuring after a long flight, and the beds are properly firm – none of that saggy mattress nonsense you sometimes get in this price range. The Wi-Fi actually works consistently (tested it during video calls), and there’s enough outlets that you don’t have to choose between charging your phone and your laptop. The shower pressure is solid, though the bathroom’s a bit compact if you’re used to sprawling American hotel bathrooms. Honestly, the whole place feels like it was designed by someone who actually travels for work and knows what’s annoying versus what’s just nice to have. The soundproofing is decent too – you’ll hear some street noise during the day since it’s still Hanoi, but nothing that kept me up at night. That 8.4 rating makes sense to me; it’s not trying to be the fanciest place in the city, but it delivers on the basics really well, and the location gives you that authentic neighborhood feel without being inconvenient. If you’re the type who wants to experience Hanoi beyond the Old Quarter crowds but still needs reliable comfort and service, this spot hits that sweet spot perfectly.

Reviews of Hana Stay Trần Quốc Hoàn

  • Thao from Vietnam – 30 May 2024 (9/10)

Góc phòng và view căn hộ

What could be improved: Không có điều gì không thích

  • Matthew from Australia – 5 February 2024 (9/10)

This was a very clean and comfortable experience.
This is not your tourist location, this is a quiet and more authenticate piece of Hanoi. The apartment was very spacious and included everything I needed to cook. Nearby there was a Winmart and plenty of cheap Vietnamese restaurants to choose from. Good laundry services.
The cleaning staff were always great fun and were very respectful.

What could be improved: During my stay I had two issues. Broken shower head and a mischarge on my credit card. Both issues were addressed quickly and professionally. The staff actually cared to resolve any problems you may incur.

  • Ebrualex from Netherlands – 3 October 2023 (7/10)

The size of the rooms were really nice. We had everything we need in the rooms including iron, washing machine and the dryer as we needed to wash our clothes, this was a good needed addition for us.

What could be improved: The stuff did not speak english well, it was hard to communicate with them.
The place was really dirty when we arrived, especially the walls on the bathroom is covered with mold fungus.
The second day, the bathroom was cleaned a bit, but still it was quite dirty, such a shame for a 4 star hotel!
Unless you start the aircos it is hard to get any form of ventilation in the rooms even when the windows open.

  • Parin from India – 30 April 2023 (7/10)

we checked in and found that the 3 bed apartment had 1 bathroom as common and 1 inside a bedroom. we would have preffered both bathrooms inside respective bedrooms. we requested a change to 3 x single bed aprarts instead of 1 x 3bed apart. our request was fullfilled although we had to pay the difference. overall the stay was pleasant. breakfast had sufficient veg options.

  • Lea from Canada – 13 March 2023 (7/10)

Far from the City Center. None of their staff speaks English, but they are nice.

  • Mahesh from Uganda – 29 December 2022 (9/10)

    Very convenient from city centre

What could be improved: The only problem is language.

  • Nga from Vietnam – 18 July 2022 (8/10)

Staff was very nice and the location was quite good. Room is more than I expected.
