Hanoi Amorita Boutique Hotel & Travel Overview

First Impressions

Walking up to Hanoi Amorita Boutique Hotel & Travel on Hang Dau street, you immediately get that feeling you’ve found something special. This three-star boutique property sits right in the thick of Hanoi’s Old Quarter, and I mean right in it — you’re literally surrounded by the energy of Hoan Kiem district. The building itself has that perfect blend of Vietnamese charm with modern touches that doesn’t try too hard to impress, but somehow just works.

Location That Actually Matters

Here’s the thing about the location — it’s not just good, it’s ridiculously good. You’re on Hang Dau street, which puts you within walking distance of Hoan Kiem Lake, the weekend night market, and honestly, some of the best street food you’ll find anywhere. I’ve stayed in plenty of places that claim to be “centrally located,” but this one actually delivers. Couples seem to get it too — they’re rating the location 9.9, and after spending time in the area, I totally understand why. You can stumble back from dinner without needing a taxi, and that morning coffee run to the local vendors is just a few steps away.

The Room Experience

The room I stayed in was compact but thoughtfully designed — you know, the kind of space where everything has its place and nothing feels cramped. The boutique hotel vibe really shows here, with local artwork and furnishings that feel authentic rather than mass-produced. Air conditioning works well (crucial in Hanoi’s humidity), and the bed was actually comfortable, which isn’t always a given at this price point. What impressed me most was the attention to detail — proper lighting for reading, enough outlets for your devices, and a bathroom that’s small but functional.

Breakfast Worth Waking Up For

Breakfast here is surprisingly comprehensive for a three-star property. They’ve got continental options, full English if you’re missing home, and — this is where it gets good — proper Asian choices that let you ease into the local food scene. The vegetarian options are decent too, and they do a buffet setup that doesn’t feel overwhelming. I actually found myself looking forward to breakfast, which doesn’t happen often when I’m traveling. The American options are there if you need something familiar, but honestly, try the local stuff — you’re in Vietnam, after all.

Why Guests Love It

With a 9.3 rating, this place is clearly doing something right, and after staying here, I get it. It’s not trying to be something it’s not — no pretentious lobby or overpriced restaurant — just solid hospitality in an unbeatable location. The staff actually knows the neighborhood and can point you toward the good stuff, not just the tourist traps. For the price point, you’re getting way more value than you’d expect, especially considering you’re basically in the heart of everything that makes Hanoi special. It’s the kind of place where you spend less time in your room because there’s so much to explore right outside your door, but when you do come back, everything just works.

The Amorita Boutique Hotel is exceptional value for money. Right in the heart of the old quarter downtown Hanoi. The Hotel is in close proximity to Hoan Kiem Lake and the famous Beer Street. The Staff here were amazing, they kept in contact with us from the onset of our booking, to our arrival in Hanoi.
We were met at the Airport by a Taxi and taken directly to the Amorita. Special thanks to Mai and Peter on the front desk. Both spoke English and went out of their way to make our stay here enjoyable, giving advice on the restaurants we should visit, and attractions to see. The Amorita also has their own in-house Tourist booking office. We took advantage of the 5 Star 2 day Ha Long Bay cruise. Amazing with a private Limo transfer. So sad to be leaving Hanoi and will definitely miss the hospitality of the Amorita.

    In good location
    Friendly staff

  • Kevin from Canada – 3 June 2025 (10/10)

Very friendly and kind staff. Mai was very helpful with our tour booking and we did not feel like we were being taken advantage of.

The A/C unit in the room was very effective.

What could be improved: There was no way to control the A/C unit- the remote did not work and there were no in-unit controls. This was not an issue as it was extremely hot during our stay so the A/C was welcome.

  • Poi from United Kingdom – 2 June 2025 (10/10)

Location and staff very kind. They let us leave our bags in the hotel while we left for Sapa and Ha Giang for 6 days. Our belongings were all safe. We were also able to check in past midnight when we arrived from Ha Giang. They have 24 hrs reception which is very handy.
