The building itself has that classic Old Quarter charm without trying too hard, and the staff genuinely seemed happy to see guests arrive, which isn’t always a given in busy tourist areas. This three-star property offers authentic character and genuine hospitality that sets it apart from typical chain accommodations in the area.

Location Magic

Here’s what I love about this spot — you can walk to the lake in about two minutes, but you’re tucked just far enough off the main drag that it doesn’t feel completely chaotic. The weekend night market practically happens on your doorstep, and honestly, some of the best street food vendors set up right around the corner. You know what’s really convenient? There’s actually free private parking here, which is almost unheard of in the Old Quarter. Most hotels just shrug and point you toward paid lots blocks away. The location truly maximizes your Hanoi experience.

The Room Experience

My room was smaller than what you’d get in a Western hotel, but that’s pretty standard for this part of Hanoi — and they’ve made smart use of every inch. The bed was surprisingly comfortable, and the air conditioning actually worked well (trust me, you’ll appreciate this in summer). What impressed me most was how quiet it stayed at night, considering we’re talking about one of the busiest neighborhoods in Vietnam. The bathroom was compact but modern, with decent water pressure — something that can be hit or miss around here. Each room reflects thoughtful design and attention to guest comfort.

Morning Fuel

The buffet breakfast surprised me in the best way. Sure, it’s not huge, but they’ve got a solid mix of Vietnamese and Western options that actually taste good. The pho was legit — I’ve had worse at dedicated restaurant spots — and they keep the coffee flowing, which is essential for tackling Hanoi’s streets. The dining area gets decent natural light, and you can plan your day while watching the neighborhood wake up outside. This morning ritual sets the perfect tone for exploring the city.

Why Guests Love It

Look, this place punches way above its weight class, and the 9.3 rating makes total sense once you’ve stayed here. Couples especially seem to get it — there’s something romantic about being able to stroll to the lake for sunrise, then duck back for breakfast before the tourist crowds hit. The staff knows the neighborhood inside and out, so they’ll point you toward the good stuff locals actually eat, not just the places that pay commissions. For the price point and location, you’re getting genuine value without any pretense — just a solid base for exploring one of Asia’s most fascinating cities.

  I had a large comfortable room, with a/c, wet bar, kettle and a safe. The hotel is very central and it’s easy to access all major attractions. Staff r all great, very helpful and interactive and English is spoken by all staff.

  The staff is among the friendliest and most welcoming personell i‘ve met in my travels now spanning almost 9 months and they really do everything to make your stay as pleasant as possible.
  I was staying at this hotel while they apparently faced some trouble with insects in the rooms as you can read in another review. And they‘ve handled the problem immediatly and effectively, so theres no need to worry about it!
  Would book this hotel again in a heartbeat!

  Very helpful staff. They upgraded us to the best room without doubt and when there were some insects they gave us a new room immediately. they also showed us around in Hanoi, like giving tips where to go to.

  I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The location is great – close to everything you might need – and the rooms were sparkling clean and very comfortable. But what truly made this stay unforgettable was the staff. They were incredibly kind, helpful, and genuinely welcoming. You really feel like you’re at home from the moment you arrive. If they could bring you the moon, they would! I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

  I got the chance to stay at NT Elysian again, Tommy again was an exceptional housekeeper and host. I was glad that I got to visit and really enjoyed having dinner with Tommy. He makes his guest feels like family members and is always available going above and beyond to help

  This was my third stay at NT Elysian Hotel in Hanoi, and once again, it exceeded my expectations.
  
  The hotel offers not only exceptional accommodation but also convenient access to well-organized tours to top destinations such as Ha Giang, Ha Long Bay, Sapa, Ninh Binh, and even central Vietnam locations like Da Nang, Hue, and Hoi An.
  
  The staff are incredibly friendly, professional, and attentive — their warm hospitality truly made me feel at home. Shout out to Tommy, Doha and Walkie, the best triple I have ever met. They treat you like family here. I was really comfortable, this is like my home away from home.
  The rooms are beautifully maintained and offer a high level of comfort. Occasionally, a few insects may find their way in, but this is to be expected in a tropical country like Vietnam and was never a major issue.
  
  Overall, my stay was thoroughly enjoyable and filled with memorable moments.
  I look forward to returning for a fourth visit soon.
