Hanoi Center Silk Lullaby Hotel and Travel Overview

First Impressions

Walking up to Hanoi Center Silk Lullaby Hotel and Travel on Phố Ngõ Trạm, you immediately get that feeling you’ve found something special tucked away in the Old Quarter. This three-star property sits right in the heart of Hanoi‘s most atmospheric district, and honestly, the location alone makes it worth considering. The building has that classic Vietnamese charm without trying too hard — you know what I mean, it feels authentic rather than touristy. What really caught my attention was how quiet it manages to be despite being so centrally located.

The Perfect Base

I mean, you’re literally steps away from everything that makes Hanoi incredible. The weekend night market is practically on your doorstep, and those famous street food stalls everyone talks about? They’re all within a five-minute walk. What surprised me most was how easy it is to navigate from here — the hotel sits in Hàng Bông ward, which connects you to both the lake area and the main shopping streets without the chaos of being right on them. Couples seem to absolutely love this spot (they rate the location 9.7, which honestly makes total sense), and I can see why — it’s romantic without being isolated.

Staying Here

The room I stayed in was clean and comfortable, nothing fancy but everything you actually need after a day of exploring. Air conditioning works well — crucial during Hanoi’s humid months — and the beds are surprisingly good quality for a three-star place. What I really appreciated was the attention to small details, like having enough outlets for your devices and decent water pressure in the shower. The staff genuinely seems to care about making your stay smooth, and they’re incredibly helpful with directions and recommendations.

Practical Perks

Here’s something you don’t often find in central Hanoi — free private parking right at the hotel. If you’re planning to rent a motorbike (which, let’s be honest, you probably should), this is actually a huge deal. Most places in the Old Quarter charge extra or make you park blocks away. The hotel also handles travel arrangements, which is handy when you want to book those Ha Long Bay trips or figure out transportation to other cities. They seem to know what they’re doing with the logistics side of things.

Why Guests Love It

With an 8.9 rating and that impressive 9.6 location score, this place clearly gets something right that many others miss. It’s that sweet spot between being in the thick of things and having a peaceful place to retreat to. You can walk to Hoan Kiem Lake in about ten minutes, hit up the best pho spots before they run out of broth, and still come back to a quiet street when you need to recharge. For the price point, you’re getting solid value — comfortable and reliable in one of Hanoi’s most coveted neighborhoods. The fact that it consistently delivers on the basics while being perfectly positioned makes it the kind of place you’d actually recommend to friends.

Reviews of Hanoi Center Silk Lullaby Hotel and Travel

  • Nadiah from Singapore – 1 June 2025 (8/10)

staff had reached out 1-2 days earlier prior to check in and even before we arrive back in hanoi. rooms were all ready and prepared. staff was helpful in telling us where is the best place or street to find what we needed on our very last minute shopping night, rooms were comfortable and clean. snacks ad drinks were prepared upon our arrival although it was late at night.

What could be improved: bathroom toilet was very nice but the water flow for the bidet was not great as it was blocked but shower pressure was good

  • Dieu from United Kingdom – 1 June 2025 (9/10)

The city view rooms with balcony and the family room are beautiful and spacious. Staff are super friendly and couldn’t do enough for you. Location is great and there’s food and shop everywhere within walking distance. Hoàn Kiếm lake is 15 minutes by foot. We’ve returned 3 times and would come back again . Thank you to all the staff at Hanoi Silk hotel.

  • Amanda from United States – 18 May 2025 (9/10)

It’s centrally located on a street that has a school so no cars, just bikes going past, so a bit quieter than other streets. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

What could be improved: No windows, typical in Hanoi but we miss daylight. No shower curtain so toilet gets wet when you shower.

  • Ana from Spain – 15 May 2025 (9/10)

The staff was really nice and always make sure that we had everything we need. We didn't have breakfast but they offered us tea and a banana every time we had a tour or we were leaving. The attention was the best!

  • Beth from United Kingdom – 15 May 2025 (9/10)

The staff here were so lovely and attentive. They offered us a free room upgrade because I wasn’t feeling well! The second room was lovely, spacious and filled with light. Also a great location! On a busy road but quiet at night.

What could be improved: Just to note the rooms vary quite a lot, our first room didn’t have windows but the second one was lovely.

  • Jonathan from United States – 7 May 2025 (9/10)

This property is an easy walk from the train station and an even easier walk to Hanoi's famous train street. You can also walk to the old quarter but for everything else it's an convenient grab ride. The room was large and well appointed (fridge and hair dryer!). The manager Ms. Huyen was awesome: she reached out to me before I arrived on whatsapp, let me check in early, and let me extend my stay an extra night via text with no issues. If you're looking for somewhere conveniently located, reasonably priced, and with a friendly staff to stay in central Hanoi give this place a go!

What could be improved: Everything was good!

  • Sachin from Qatar – 5 May 2025 (9/10)

What could be improved: Nothing bad

  • Johanna from New Zealand – 4 May 2025 (9/10)

    Perfect location
    Great value for money
    Deluxe room great!
Gym at sister hotel about 5 minutes walk, small but good enough

  • Merilyn from Australia – 26 April 2025 (9/10)

Great staff. We loved our stay here.

What could be improved: The bathrooms could do with a make over…

  • Deanna from Australia – 25 April 2025 (9/10)

We stayed here only one night at the beginning of our trip and had a flight out early the next day. Now that I have stayed at a few places in Vietnam, I have to say this bed was one of the comfiest softest beds we slept in. All our other beds were quite firm but this hotel had wonderful comfortable beds. The hotel is only one or two rooms per floor and there are about 6 floors, and it is smaller but we had a wonderful sleep here. The staff was a standout, I had been in contact with them prior to arriving in Vietnam via Whatsapp and they arranged a number of things on my behalf (hair appointments, drivers, etc.) They also checked in with us after we left to make sure we arrived safely in Da Nang and exchanged cash for me right at the hotel for a reasonable exchange rate.
