Hanoi Sena Hotel & Travel – Former Symphony Hanoi Hotel Overview
First Impressions
Walking into Hanoi Sena Hotel & Travel – Former Symphony Hanoi Hotel, you immediately get that “this is exactly where I want to be” feeling. The location on Hàng Hòm street puts you right in the thick of things — I mean, you’re literally steps from Hoan Kiem Lake and the Old Quarter’s maze of streets. It’s one of those three-star places that punches way above its weight, honestly. The staff greets you like they’ve been waiting for you specifically, which sets the tone for everything else.
Location & Neighborhood
Here’s what I love about this spot — you can walk to pretty much everything that matters in Hanoi. The famous weekend night market? Two minutes. That incredible street food scene everyone talks about? Right outside your door. I’ve stayed in fancier places that required taxi rides to get anywhere interesting, but this hotel drops you right into the heart of Vietnamese life. Couples seem to get this especially well (they rate the location 9.5, which honestly makes perfect sense when you experience it yourself).
The Room Experience
The room itself is what you’d expect from a solid three-star — clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully arranged without any unnecessary frills. What surprised me was how quiet it stays despite being in such a bustling area. You know what I mean when you’re in the middle of a city but can actually sleep? The air conditioning works properly (crucial in Hanoi’s humidity), and there’s enough space to spread out your stuff without feeling cramped. It’s not trying to be something it’s not, which I actually appreciate.
Breakfast & Dining
The breakfast situation here is honestly impressive for a hotel this size. They’ve got everything covered — Continental, Full English, Asian options, even vegetarian choices and breakfast to go if you’re rushing out to catch a tour. I mean, most places this category give you toast and call it a day, but they actually put thought into it. The Asian breakfast items are particularly good (you’re in Vietnam, after all), and the staff seems genuinely happy to explain what everything is if you’re not sure.
Why Guests Love It
What makes this place work is that combination of location and genuine hospitality that’s hard to fake. The 8.5 rating reflects what you actually experience — a hotel that knows its strengths and delivers on them consistently. You’re not paying for marble lobbies or rooftop pools, but you’re getting something more valuable: easy access to authentic Hanoi and staff who seem to care whether you have a good time. For travelers who want to be in the center of everything without the premium price tag, it’s honestly hard to beat this setup.
To book a hotel in Hanoi during Tet festivities, visitors plan ahead to balance blossom markets with pagoda ceremonies.

What an amazing experience to be at this accommodation !!!! We are extremely grateful for the opportunity to stay at a hotel like this! Staff at this hotel were just amazing – always willing to help us anytime; when we needed accommodation, transport, to plan a trip or some useful information, they were always willing to help us with literally ANYTHING that we needed. We can't put in words how incredible the people who work here are. They feel like family to us, which is something you can't usually find in hotels. Furthermore, the rooms we stayed at were always clean, comfortable, and nicely arranged. The location of the hotel is directly in the city center, which made our access to anything way easier. Literally, we have nothing to complain about. Everything was more than what we expected with really good people who were always willing to help. I highly recommend this accommodation to anyone!!! THANK YOU <3 !!!
