Hi-Home HanoiCenter Big Group-4BRs 2mins to HoanKiem Lake Overview
First Impressions
Walking into Hi-Home HanoiCenter Big Group-4BRs 2mins to HoanKiem Lake, I was honestly surprised by how spacious this four-star property feels. The name pretty much tells you everything — it’s literally a two-minute walk to Hoan Kiem Lake, which I timed myself because, well, you know how these things can be exaggerated. It’s not. The building sits right in the maze of narrow streets that make up the Old Quarter, and finding it the first time was actually part of the adventure.
The Space
This isn’t your typical hotel room situation — we’re talking about a proper four-bedroom setup that can handle big groups without everyone stepping on each other. Each bedroom has its own character, though I’d grab the one facing away from the street if you’re a light sleeper (those motorbikes start early in Hanoi). The kitchen is actually functional, not just for show, which came in handy when we wanted to try cooking some ingredients we picked up at Dong Xuan Market. The living area becomes the natural gathering spot, and there’s enough seating that nobody ends up on the floor.
Location Magic
Here’s what I mean about the location being special — you step outside and you’re immediately in the thick of everything that makes Hanoi incredible. Hoan Kiem Lake is right there for morning walks or evening people-watching, but you’re also surrounded by the best street food spots. That little bánh mì place on Hàng Bài street? It’s practically your neighbor. The weekend night market spreads out just blocks away, and honestly, I found myself just wandering the alleys discovering tiny cafes and shops I never would have found staying further out.
Daily Life Here
What struck me most was how this place lets you live like a local rather than just visit. There’s no fancy hotel restaurant, but who needs that when you’ve got the entire Old Quarter as your dining room? The staff actually knows the neighborhood — they pointed us toward a family-run pho place that doesn’t even have a sign, just locals lined up on tiny plastic stools. The apartment setup means you can spread out your stuff, do laundry, and actually relax instead of living out of suitcases. There’s parking available too, though I’d honestly recommend just walking everywhere from here.
Why Guests Love It
The 8.9 rating makes perfect sense once you’ve stayed here — it’s that sweet spot where you get the authentic Hanoi experience without sacrificing comfort. Couples seem to particularly love it (which the feedback confirms), probably because you can have romantic lake walks and then retreat to your own private space. The location score of 9.6 isn’t just numbers on a screen — it’s the difference between spending your time traveling to see things versus just stepping outside and being surrounded by the real Hanoi. I mean, when you can grab fresh coffee from a street vendor and be watching the sunrise over Hoan Kiem Lake within minutes of waking up, that’s pretty hard to beat.

We were a group of 6 and there was so much space for us! We loved staying here. One of our favourites in Vietnam. Very clean and good location. Highly recommend

Location was great! The check-in and cash payment process was straightforward. Rooms were clean and we had a great time and loved sitting in the common area, reading, and having this house as a cozy home base for our trip to Hanoi. Photos are accurate- what you see is what you get!
What could be improved: The hot tub is a bathtub on the roof patio with minimal privacy, not an actual jacuzzi or anything– the listing (which might be AI-generated by booking.com or translated) is misleading on this aspect. Water heater was quite loud at night and made a loud clanking sound even with the water heater switches. One of the bedrooms doesn't have windows and shares a bathroom, and has a large gap above the door with the other bedroom (likely to circulate cool air or something), but this makes it not soundproof. The TV is a smart TV, but does not include logins for streaming or a HDMI cable to stream from a computer if this is desired.Bea from South Africa – 16 September 2024 (8/10)
We had an incredible stay, the Apartment is very well located, close enough to the old Quarter to walk there, and quiet. The beds were very comfortable and the facility clean. the aircons is a must have in Hanoi!
The host communicated the checking in process well in advance, and everything was easy.

This area is very quiet and comfortable. We held a party with my family here. The room was fully furnished so organizing a party was quite convenient and we didn't need to clean much. In the morning in the central area, there is a lot of delicious food (where I live near Nem Nuong Nha Trang which is super awesome). Not only Tourists but also Vietnamese can book to organize meetings here. It's also close to Hoan Kiem Lake and the Old Quarter, so you don't have to worry about running out of places to play at night.
What could be improved: Some noise in the morning from the street food guest in the side walk.Joy from Netherlands – 28 January 2024 (9/10)
I often go to Hanoi in 2,3 months. Love the place with a very cozy decoration, the house is quite clean and tidy. The location is the best thing I like that I can go to the Hoankien lake in a few minutes. The check in quite smoothly and express check-out available
What could be improved: The alley has the street food and sometimes it is noisy during the day.
