Hôtel du Parc Hanoï Overview
You know what struck me first about Hôtel du Parc Hanoï? It’s actually tucked away on Tran Nhan Tong Street in a way that feels deliberate – like they wanted to give you that five-star experience without throwing you into the absolute chaos of the Old Quarter. I mean, don’t get me wrong, I love the energy around Hoan Kiem Lake, but sometimes you just want to step out of your hotel and be able to think straight, you know?
The thing is, this place gets the balance right in a way that’s honestly pretty rare in Hanoi. You’re in Hai Ba Trung district, which means you’re close enough to everything that matters – Bach Mai Hospital is practically around the corner if you need anything medical (hopefully you won’t), and you can walk to some incredible local pho spots that most tourists never find. There’s this little place about three blocks down that opens at 6 AM and serves what I’m convinced is the best pho bo in the city, but I digress. The hotel itself feels like someone actually thought about what travelers need rather than just checking boxes on a luxury checklist. The lobby has this warm, lived-in elegance – marble floors that don’t feel cold underfoot, and the staff genuinely seems to know the neighborhood. When I asked about getting to the Temple of Literature, the front desk guy didn’t just point me toward a taxi; he sketched out a walking route that took me past this gorgeous little park I never would have discovered otherwise.
Here’s what I really appreciated though – the rooms are quiet. Like, actually quiet. In a city where motorbikes start revving at dawn and construction seems to happen around the clock, that’s no small feat. The windows must be properly soundproofed because even though you’re on a fairly busy street, you can sleep past 6 AM if you want to (though honestly, why would you when the city’s waking up outside?). The AC works without sounding like a helicopter, and the shower pressure is strong enough to wash off a full day of humid Hanoi exploration. Small things, but they matter when you’re staying somewhere for more than a night or two. The 8.7 rating makes sense to me – it’s not perfect, and I wouldn’t expect it to be, but it delivers on the stuff that actually affects your day. Check-in was smooth, the WiFi reaches every corner of the room, and room service comes up quickly without that apologetic delay you get at some places. Plus, and this might sound weird, but the breakfast area has windows that face east, so you get this lovely morning light while you’re planning your day over Vietnamese coffee that’s strong enough to wake the dead.

Had a great stay here, very interesting hotel, with Japanese breakfast options, and fantastic in-hotel restaurants. Lovely rooms, with large windows.

The staff was exceptional. They were incredibly attentive to me and my requests. They helped me plan and reserve several tours, responded to my vegetarian needs, and were always pleasant to chat with.
The location was away from the bustling cross of the Old Quarter, but an easy walk or taxi to the heart of it. There is a major park with a lake right across the street that I went for a walk or run to start every day (one loop = 1.4 miles).
The room was very large, very quiet, had a shower/bathtub, and had a nice table for working.
Room service was prompt. Room was cleaned every day. Laundry service was prompt.
What could be improved: They are working to improve their vegetarian options in the restaurant.
