I mean, when you step out the front door, you’re immediately in this authentic neighborhood vibe – kids playing in the narrow alley, elderly folks doing their morning tai chi, the sound of motorbikes puttering by at a much more civilized pace than what you’d get in the Old Quarter.

The apartment itself hits that sweet spot between local character and actual comfort. The building’s got this clean, modern lobby that doesn’t try too hard to be fancy, and the elevator (thank god, because Vietnamese apartment stairs are no joke) runs quietly enough that you won’t hear your neighbors coming and going at all hours. Inside, everything’s thoughtfully laid out – proper kitchen with a full-size fridge, which is actually pretty rare for this price range, decent water pressure in the shower, and air conditioning that works without sounding like a jet engine. The bed’s firm but comfortable, and they’ve got these thick curtains that block out the early morning light if you’re trying to sleep off jetlag. What I really appreciated was the little balcony overlooking the street – perfect for morning coffee while watching the neighborhood wake up, or an evening beer while planning the next day’s adventures.

Location-wise, you’re about a 15-minute grab ride to Hoan Kiem Lake, but here’s the thing – you’re also walking distance from some incredible local spots that most tourists never find. There’s this tiny bun cha place two blocks down that doesn’t even have a sign, just look for the blue plastic stools and the constant line of locals. The nearest convenience store stays open late, and there’s a proper wet market within easy walking distance if you want to try cooking something Vietnamese in that kitchen. The neighborhood’s quiet enough for good sleep but connected enough that you won’t feel stranded – and honestly, after a few days of navigating Hanoi’s more chaotic areas, coming back to this little oasis feels pretty perfect. The 8.9 rating makes total sense when you factor in the value, the genuine local experience, and the fact that everything just works the way it should.

  In case you are travelling from abroad, strongly advise to book something in old qtr. If you book this you would end up spending half the money on transit from here to Old qtr.
  Also the places close by shut their shops pretty early.

  really clean and fixed as western style 3-4 star hotel level . if you don't need to visit your hotel ten times a day ( however not so far to center ) don't look for adventure, this hotel is the best one with this prices. hotel staff very helpful, kind. tv , bathroom, kitchen desk , washing machine all brand new , wifi perfect , no strange smell anywhere.
