So I stumbled onto Jasmine Apartment through a friend’s recommendation, and honestly? I’m kind of glad it’s not splashed all over the major booking sites because it feels like discovering a local secret. Tucked away in this narrow alley off Đội Cấn Street – you know, one of those typical Hanoi lanes where motorbikes somehow squeeze past each other and street food vendors set up their tiny plastic stools – this place has that perfect balance of being central but actually quiet.

The thing about staying here is that you’re basically living like a Hanoian for a few days. I mean, the apartment itself is genuinely nice – clean, modern fixtures, decent Wi-Fi that actually works (which, let’s be honest, isn’t always a given in Vietnam), and the air conditioning doesn’t sound like a helicopter landing on your roof. Lily, who manages the place, actually responds to messages pretty quickly, which was clutch when I couldn’t figure out the building entrance on my first night. The building’s one of those narrow Hanoi constructions where you take this tiny elevator up, but once you’re inside the apartment, it opens up more than you’d expect from the street view. There’s something satisfying about having your own kitchen and not feeling like you’re bothering hotel staff every time you come back with street food at weird hours.

What really sold me on the location – and this might sound random – is that you’re maybe a seven-minute walk from the Temple of Literature, but more importantly, you’re right in the middle of actual neighborhood life. There’s this bánh mì lady who sets up her cart right at the corner of the alley every morning around 7 AM, and honestly, her sandwiches are better than most of the touristy spots near Hoan Kiem Lake. The neighborhood gets busy during rush hour (motorbikes everywhere, obviously), but it quiets down nicely in the evenings. You’re close enough to Ba Dinh Square that you could walk there, but far enough that you’re not dealing with tourist crowds when you just want to grab dinner. I actually ended up extending my stay an extra two nights because – well, partly because I got lazy and comfortable, but also because the 8.8 rating this place has isn’t inflated marketing nonsense. It’s just a solid, no-drama place to stay where everything works like it should and you feel more like you’re experiencing Hanoi rather than just passing through it.

  The host sent us a video with clear directions to the house, which made it easy to find. The check-in process was smooth, it was a self-check-in with a password, which was very convenient for us.
  The room exceeded our expectations. As much as we loved the design, what truly stood out was how at home we felt, something we hadn’t experienced in other places. I’m not sure why, but the room was incredibly comfortable.
  The only small downside was that there was no drinking water provided, and we arrived late at night while it was raining. Other than that, everything was perfect.

  Great little place in the quieter back streets of Ha Noi. I was working for my days there and going out on day trips. It is quiet, good internet, clean and comfortable to work from. With a short scooter ride you can be in the old town and all the main attractions. I would certainly stay again.

  Very nice and clean apartments. One faced the small street, the other one with little to no view. Smooth self check-in, flexible communication with a guy who managed the whole booking.

  Fully equipped. Beautiful design. Enough space and facilities. Lift. Light dual color. White and yellow. Excellent service. Quiet street. No honking. Multiple grocery stores nearby. Easy pickup for Grab motorbike and car. Fair price
