The lobby has this understated elegance that feels more Parisian than Vietnamese, which is interesting considering you’re literally in the heart of Ba Dinh district. What struck me most was how quiet it felt despite being on a fairly busy street – they’ve done something right with the soundproofing because I barely heard any traffic noise from my room.

The location is honestly brilliant if you want to experience Hanoi like someone who actually lives there rather than just hitting the tourist spots. You’re walking distance from the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum (though I’d skip the crowds and just stroll around the area in the early morning), and here’s something most visitors don’t realize – you’re also super close to some of the best local coffee shops that don’t show up in guidebooks. There’s this tiny place about two blocks away where the owner makes ca phe sua da that’ll ruin you for coffee anywhere else. The hotel staff – and I mean this genuinely – actually know these spots and will point you in the right direction without the usual tourist markup recommendations.

What really sets this place apart is the attention to detail that you only notice after you’ve stayed in a bunch of so-so hotels. The shower pressure is actually good (not always a given in this part of the world), the air conditioning doesn’t sound like a helicopter landing, and they’ve got this small garden area that’s perfect for morning coffee before the city wakes up. I spent a surprising amount of time out there just watching Hanoi come alive. The breakfast spread isn’t huge, but everything they do have is done well – proper Vietnamese pho alongside decent Western options, and the fruit is always fresh. Check-in was smooth, no weird deposit demands or passport-holding nonsense that some places still pull. The rooms feel more spacious than they probably are, and there’s actually decent storage space for your stuff. Look, it’s not the cheapest option in the area, but for a 4-star place with this kind of service and location, it’s honestly pretty reasonable. If you’re the type who appreciates staying somewhere that feels like a find rather than just another hotel booking, this is your spot.

  The hotel is located in a brilliant area with lovely coffee shops and restaurants. The room was beautiful and the bed was the comfiest we’ve ever slept in at a hotel! The staff were extremely helpful and lovely too. Would stay again!!
