Reyna Hotel Hanoi & Spa Overview
Look, I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to Reyna Hotel Hanoi & Spa on Me Tri Road, I wasn’t expecting much. It’s tucked away in Nam Tu Liem District, which isn’t exactly where most tourists end up, but that actually turned out to be one of its biggest strengths. You know what I mean? Sometimes the best finds are the ones slightly off the beaten path.
The thing about this place is that it genuinely feels like they’re trying to give you a proper experience without the downtown Hanoi circus. Me Tri Road is wide enough that you don’t get that claustrophobic motorbike madness – though honestly, you’ll still hear the occasional honking symphony at rush hour. The lobby hits you with this clean, modern vibe that’s refreshing after navigating Hanoi’s beautifully chaotic streets. Check-in was smooth, no drama, and the staff actually remembered my name by day two (small touch, but it matters). The spa element isn’t just marketing fluff either – I mean, I’m usually skeptical about hotel spas, but they’ve got legitimate treatment rooms and therapists who know what they’re doing. After a day of walking around the Old Quarter, that massage actually saved my feet.
Here’s what I really appreciated: the rooms are properly soundproofed. In a city where peace and quiet can be hard to come by, being able to actually sleep through the night was huge. The beds are firm but comfortable – none of that rock-hard hotel mattress nonsense. Air conditioning works like a dream, which you’ll definitely need during Hanoi’s sticky summer months. The bathroom setup is modern and clean, with water pressure that doesn’t leave you standing there forever trying to rinse shampoo out. What really sold me though was the breakfast situation – it’s this nice mix of Vietnamese and international options, and the pho they serve in the morning is legitimately good. Not tourist pho, actual pho.
The location might seem random if you’re planning to walk everywhere, but honestly, it’s pretty smart. You’re about a 15-minute taxi ride from the Old Quarter, but close enough to Lotte Tower and some solid local restaurants that most visitors never discover. There’s decent parking if you’re brave enough to rent a car in Hanoi (which… well, good luck with that), and getting a Grab ride is never a problem from this area. The 8.2 rating makes sense to me – it’s not trying to be the fanciest place in the city, but it delivers on the things that actually matter when you’re traveling. Clean, comfortable, reliable, and the staff genuinely seems to care about whether you’re having a good time. Sometimes that’s exactly what you need, especially in a city as intense as Hanoi.
