But walking into this place on Lê Phụng Hiểu street, I actually got it. There’s something genuinely cozy about how they’ve set up these apartments, and the location is just ridiculous in the best way possible. I mean, you’re literally a two-minute walk from Hoan Kiem Lake, which means you can stumble out for morning tai chi with the locals or grab those incredible bánh mì from the vendor who sets up on the corner around 6 AM (trust me on this one). The street itself is narrow – typical Old Quarter style – so don’t expect your Grab driver to drop you right at the door, but honestly, that’s part of the charm.

The apartment I stayed in felt more like crashing at a friend’s place than a typical hotel room, which I think is exactly what they’re going for. The space is modern without being sterile, and they’ve actually thought about how people live – there’s a proper kitchen setup if you want to hit Dong Xuan Market and cook something, plus the WiFi doesn’t mysteriously die every time it rains (which, let’s be real, happens a lot in Hanoi). What really impressed me was how quiet it gets at night, even though you’re right in the thick of things. The building seems well-insulated, and by 10 PM the street settles into that peaceful hum you get in residential parts of the Old Quarter. The air conditioning works properly too – not one of those units that sounds like a helicopter landing on your roof.

Here’s the thing that really sold me on this place: the staff actually knows the neighborhood. When I asked about finding good phở that wasn’t touristy, the guy at the front desk didn’t just point me toward some generic spot – he drew me a little map to this family place three blocks away where the grandmother still makes the broth from scratch every morning. That’s the kind of local insight you just don’t get at the big chain hotels. The 9.5 rating makes perfect sense once you’ve been there a few days; it’s not flashy or trying to impress anyone, but everything just works the way it should. Check-in was smooth, the place was spotless, and honestly, the value is pretty incredible for what you’re getting in this part of Hanoi. If you’re the type who wants to actually experience the city rather than just take photos of it, this is your spot.

  What could be improved: Căn hộ cực kỳ xinh xắn, nhiều đồ trang trí, sạch sẽ nha, đi du lịch hay công tác, gia đình, muốn tận hưởng không khí rất riêng của Hà Nội trong một khu chung cư cổ thì ở đây nha, nhân viên rất thân thiện, nhiệt tình, sẵn sàng hướng dẫn và hỗ trợ khách, đây là chỗ ở tự check-in, check-out, mình sẽ rất nhớ nơi này!

  Die Lage der Unterkunft war perfekt, man kann alles super zu Fuß erreichen und direkt neben der Unterkunft ist ein kleiner Supermarkt.
  Die Wohnung ist mit so viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet und sehr sauber, wir haben uns von Anfang an sehr wohl gefühlt. Man hatte das Gefühl, dass man in Vietnam lebt. Einfach ein tolles Gefühl! Wir kommen definitiv wieder 🙂

  What could be improved: – the downside which we did not expect that second double bed is atually inflated matrass which is making a creak all night from your every turn which is disturbing others sleeping at the same room. If owner can replace the matrass with normal one or if you are group of 2, it would be 10 out of 10!
